5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy
Was in two minds about this version of the BLuetooth as when I called VCAN sales, they said that it was double mono not stereo.. Turns out this version 2.0 is infact Stereo playback from both my LG Tritan 840 and the Ipod Touch 2nd Gen.
The MP3 volume is great up to about 70mph on a Touring bike. Cell phone Volume is a little too low above 50. I understand that the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great helmet if you have a thick neck!
I bought this helmet from Amazon. Took me a while to figure out witch one's had dual speakers(the ones w/bluetooth 2.0).
Great helmet for the price, tons of features, but way too heavy. I only way 150 lbs. so maybe weight's more important to me than some but this helmet hurt my neck after 10min. I will never buy a modular again. I'm looking at Oneal's element...

The MP3 volume is great up to about 70mph on a Touring bike. Cell phone Volume is a little too low above 50. I understand that the Version 3.0 is better when it comes out later next year.
The intercom between rider and passenger takes about 3 seconds to connect but is full duplex.
I would say the Cell phone use is great round town where wind noise is lower due to lower speeds.
Comfort is fantastic.. Helmet is well constructed. The secondary slide down sun visor is very helpful even when heading into the low fall sun.

Only real problem with this model is a slight rattle at speed from the top vent when closed. I'll probably cut small square of felt and slip it into place to stop the rattle.
Certainly well worth the money especially if you cant stretch to a Nolan etc..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Helmet!, April 10, 2011

This review is from: VCAN Blinc 210 Flat Black Medium Full Modular Helmet with Crusader Graphics (Automotive)
To keep it short and sweet, this helmet is awesome for summer use!

Speakers work great for streaming music off MP3 enabled with bluetooth. I have an adroid phone, that once paired, takes a few seconds to link. Battery life is amazing! Comes with a charger, advise charging after every other ride.

Can't hear low volume music on my 600 Honda Shadow once I'm over 50mph, but almost all rock can be heard all the way to 70mph!

Very noisey though. Almost no complete seal is made and wind gets through easily. This does make it very well "vented" however it eliminates any use during the winter, and any phone use you may wish for unless in town.

The drop-down sunglasses are fantastic!

The hemlet does have some weight to it due to the electronics, but nothing worth worrying about when making the purchase. Only took about 4 days for me to receive in the mail after odering and no issues with any part of the helmet after owning for a year now.

2.0 out of 5 stars soo much potential, August 26, 2011

This review is from: VCAN Blinc 210 Flat Black Medium Full Modular Helmet with Crusader Graphics (Automotive)
Well the packaging and delivery was horrible...absolutely bad...but the product itself is ok at best, but overall not very impressed...speakers are not loud and going anywhere above 65mph with all honesty and simply put, you can't hear anything coming from the speaker and you might as well not use the Bluetooth... The helmet is comfortable and very sturdy, and looks awesome...but the functionality and what you want and paid for is not worth it...wish I could return it and try a different Bluetooth helmet...but it is what it is. Though let me say going 64mph or below and in the city its good I guess; but far below average and close to terrible going 65 and above...hope this helps...take care

Noisy at high-speeds, can't use the phone. Barely hear the music over 50 miles an hour. Other than that, cool looking. Disappointed with the features they say they have. Like the hidden sun-visor. I wouldn't recommend this helmet for what the advertising says it does. - Kurt Rogers

5.0 out of 5 stars Best. Helmet. Ever., October 26, 2011

This review is from: VCAN Blinc 210 Flat Black Medium Full Modular Helmet with Crusader Graphics (Automotive)
This helmet looks phenomenal and works perfectly. It plays music and phone calls loudly (easy to adjust volume) and the microphone captures your voice clearly, even when racing down the highway (although I wouldn't recommend it). The Sun visor slides down easily, the front modular flips up nicely and somewhat smoothly. Also, the black paint is a matte black and the lettering and other stuff on the helmet is very very detailed. I've gotten numerous compliments about this helmet. Playing music wireless using bluetooth is such a nice convenience, and makes those hour-long cruises into 2 or 3 hours. Battery also lasts a long time, easy to plug in when needed. It is also really nice when listening to the tomtom app on my iPhone so that I know exactly how to get to my destination on a new trip/destination. Comes with a nice helmet bag. Best helmet I've ever seen. I love it. And so do all my friends, family, and strangers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the most part..., August 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I received this product with in two days of ordering it. It came very well packaged and included a cover for the helmet. Upon opening the box, I was greeted by the helmet (Which was in its cover) and a small clear sealed bag which had the charger, battery, and instructions. The instructions did not show how or where to install the battery, just how to operate the unit. After figuring out which way to install the battery in its very limited space, I charged it up for 4 hours. After the 4 hours I paired the unit up with my HTC Thunderbolt by holding the bluetooth button on the helmet for aprox 4 to 6 seconds. The unit paired up within seconds. I put the helmet on. The helmet felt a little tight at first around the ears where the speakers are located but not to the point where it hurt or was uncofortable. It just felt weird which later I forgot about it. I own a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard C109RT (With Windsheild). I went ahead and put on some MP3's and took off on a ride. Around town, (30 - 45 mph) I could listen to light music, heavy music, and conduct phone calls in which I could clearly understand the caller and they could understand me (Although they did suggest that I sounded a little bit muffled). I then went on the hwy (55 - 60 mph). I could still hear and understand light music, and Heavy music. (Note: Music and calls are in stereo). I could hear phone calls without issue, however the other party started to complain that I was cutting in and out. (Note: I don't know if it was my phone or the unit. I will try another phone in a few days and report back). As I eased onto the interstate (75 - 80 mph) Light music was a little hard to understand and heavy music was clear. I could still hear the other party on the phone as well (not as loud but understandable) They could not hear me. They complained of a lot of wind noise and of me cutting in and out. Between 65 and 70 mph, my top vent started to rattle. (Note: when I looked at it, it looked as if the vent casing needed a touch of glue to fix, however, for a new helmet, I should not have to do this, but I will so I don't have to send it back. ((Disclaimer.. Do this at your own risk, this could void your warrenty.)) Over all impressions: I wasn't impressed entirely with this helmet, however, it did get plenty of air flow in it, it was comfortable, and was very affordable. I recommend this helmet if you need a bluetooth helmet on a budget. (Final Note: You can not listen to music and talk on the phone at the same time. I did the music test and phone tests seperately).

4.0 out of 5 stars doesnt get the highest scores but still a strong showing..worth the money, March 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This helmet is not going to wow you with its overall performance but it does score well in most areas. I recommend it to anyone who needs the ability to stream mp3's and make and receive calls while riding. I have listed the pros and con below.

Pros:
Helemet is light and provides substantial air flow
nice design
flip down sun visor built in.super plus!!!!
can hear music up till 100 mph
rider to passenger communication without cell phone service(requires 2 helmets)
can make and recieve calls with one touch( or auomatically if your phone supports that function)
ability to ride and make calls ( calls are only able to be heard till 40 mph)

cons:
wind noise drowns out your voice at above 40mph. so the phone is of no use over 40mph, you can hear the caller they cant hear you
difficult to access battery compartment. it is very tiny and you have to force the lining over to charge or remove the battery
speakers could be stronger
no input for personal mp3 players, must stream through the bluetooth

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Bluetooth Helmet, STEREO!, February 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VCAN Blinc 210 Flat Black Medium Full Modular Helmet with Crusader Graphics (Automotive)
Bought this one for myself. They connect very easily to my EVO (android), streams audio and phone work as desired, I figure audio is as desired too 50 Mph. I did wait FOUR yes 4 months to receive this helmet (Although then it was $50 cheaper! lol too bad for you!), I just wish it wasn't broken! I received this item with a damaged top vent which vibrates horribly, hope to receive a replacement soon, as this is my only issue with the helmet.

It functions well as a helmet, it is fairly comfy too. The environmental noise is not too bad either, but could be better.

Modular is the better option. I have two other vcan bluetooth 2.0 Full Face helmets I just bought (While waiting for this one) for my wife and myself, they connect easily and funtion identically although they did come with different internal hardware.

Also this is a BIG DEAL... The full face were not stereo, and the audio quality was about half of what this STEREO one is.
