This is a neat product and very good for us to have in Florida where we have so many hurricanes!! But you can purchase this product for 1/2 the cost from Ace Hardware. Sorry Amazon.

Limited Functionality, May 14, 2011
This review is from: VECTOR VEC135 TV/LANTER,AM/FM/WEATHER ALERT Radio (Misc.)
The good:
rechargeable battery system, AM/FM works fine and it picks up a few TV stations if they're really close (think "in town"). The radio is pretty loud, the bank of LED lights on the rear are pretty bright and although the weather information has an odd, irritating hum, it seems to work anywhere I tested it.
The WTF bad:
The FLASHLIGHT (one of the top reasons to get the product) in the front and the TV only work when plugged in to AC power(say what? - a plugged in flashlight? I can understand the TV, but come on!), although the LED lights and radio work from battery, keeping it from being useless without a power source.
Although I got it at a better price than what it's currently listed at, I would not purchase one of these again - I'm letting it live out in the shed as an FM radio.
Thinking about using the crank? Did it one day to test it... expect to have left this anchor behind with your stranded vehicle and walked to safety by the time you get a reasonable length of usable power. If you had to check the emergency weather channel it might be reasonable, but you seem to get a pathetic 1:1 crank:use length for the LED lights, and about a 1:4 or 1:3 ratio for the radio, so you crank 15 or 20 minutes (good solid rhythm) to get 1 hour of radio.
