I have owned several boats over the years, all with covers. The primary issue with boat covers is trapping humidity and heat which leads to mildew and destroys vinyl. I purchased one of these units several years ago for my previous boat and recently for a new pontoon boat. These fans work well in providing ventilation for the cover and I am always amazed at how they can reduced the temperature under the cover They are very easy to install - if you already have vents in your cover, it is a 5 minute install. I have recommended this item to several persons with pontoon boats with full covers and they really like them. My only recommendation is that if the boat is greater than 20' in length, you will probably want two for increased airflow.

Wiring is cheap and the solar cap comes off easily. I think I've tried two or three of these and never made it past the install - never got one to work. The concept is good, it's just that from my observations, the product is not well made.
