VERY BEST OF + DVD
Lila Downs is the daughter of a Mixteca Indian from Oaxaca (her father is a professor from Minnesota). I have all her CDs. You can see her (if you watch closely) and hear her sing in Julie Taymor's movie Frida. Now we have a DVD from Lila recorded at a concert in Madrid. She appears in traditional costume and sings many of the songs from her albums. Highly recommended.

This Cd plus DVD represents a clear example of Lila's work through the last years. It is a really good compilation of her best songs. The DVD is also excellent. I recommend this item to every fun. A must for those who love Lila's music.

Music style is different from traditional Latin but very nice to listen to. I am happy with my purchase.

I love anything Lila does,and this was a very clear dvd and close up on stage.I can't wait for her to publish a new dvd with her english songs on it. I just missed seeing her in Tucson & bought the dvd instead.Not as good as in person.But a great dvd overall.
