A hilarious series of comments on the corporate ladder's ironies.,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: FROM THE VERY BIG DESK OF...: Business Cartoons by New Yorker Cartoonist Charles Barsotti (Hardcover)
If the name of Charles Barsotti sounds familiar, it's because he does business cartoons for the New Yorker, and has produced such for over three decades. Any New Yorker reader only has to take a glance at the cover to readily recognize his style, and FROM THE BIG DESK OF... represents the first gathering of Barsotti creations under one cover. Dilbert fans will find plenty to applaud here, in a hilarious series of comments on the corporate ladder's ironies.

Boss' Delight,

This review is from: FROM THE VERY BIG DESK OF...: Business Cartoons by New Yorker Cartoonist Charles Barsotti (Hardcover)
I bought this book as a birthday gift for my boss, who is a partner in a major New York law firm.
He's a terrific person with a great sense of humor -- he loved it.

Corporate America's Hilarious Follies,
By Larry Underwood "Author - St Louis Cardinals ... (Scottsdale, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: FROM THE VERY BIG DESK OF...: Business Cartoons by New Yorker Cartoonist Charles Barsotti (Hardcover)
This all too brief collection of Charles Barsotti cartoons, lampooning everything we love to hate about Corporate America will have you laughing harder with each turn of the page. The only bad news: The book only has 108 pages of side splitting humor. Maybe any more hilarity could be hazardous to your health? I think I may have popped a gasket rolling on the floor laughing; I'll get a check-up soon.
For anyone who's had any exposure to the harsh realities of Corporate America, you'll love this. I know I did; I personally witnessed at least half the gags in my 26 year career in big business, and I even wrote a hilarious book about it; sorry, there are no pictures or illustrations. My book is called Life Under the Corporate Microscope: A Maverick's Irreverent Perspective Buy 'em both. You'll thank me later.
