4.0 out of 5 stars entertaining!, April 9, 2003

This review is from: VH1: Pop-Up Video '80s (DVD)
I think a few of the previous reviewers should have noted before buying this that it is a POP UP DVD!! The pop-ups are intentional and in some people's cases, including myself, the reason for buying the dvd. I find the pop ups amusing. I like to play this, without sound, as background visuals at parties. It's a good conversation starter. My only complaint here is that they should have included a few more videos for the price. Other than that, this is a great, fun dvd!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very cool show, October 17, 2004

This review is from: VH1: Pop-Up Video '80s (DVD)
I totally loved this show when it was on back in the '90s, and now I have this DVD to enjoy for all time! The revelations by the writers are really funny, and sometimes they have to go to great lengths to get some good trivia (or dirt) to put into the pop-ups. If you love music videos, and ever wondered what was going on behind the scenes, this DVD is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eh..., May 2, 2005
This review is from: VH1: Pop-Up Video '80s (DVD)
To the person who requested that the pop-ups be turned off...you bought the wrong DVD. It's called "pop-up video" and not "music videos" for a reason.

Personally, I think the price is steep for only an hour's worth of material. I look forward to VH-1 eventually getting a clue and putting everything on a DVD box set.
