I really like working with VHT spray paint and is my first choice for a number of different applications from brake parts to engine blocks. So when I was looking for paint to restore my wheels, I turned to VHT.
This paint spray nicely - and dries to the touch in 30 minutes. They suggest two light coats followed by one medium coat allowing 10 minutes in between coats. All coats should be applied within 1 hour. Any additional coats after the one hour - you need to wait 7 days for the paint to cure.
This is about the only spray paint I have found that you can actually use rubbing compound to polish out the final coat and achieve a really smooth, glossy surface. My wheels look like brand new
4-3-2015 The center plastic caps on my 14 year old Nissan were starting to look shabby, so of course I turned to my favorite paint. The Chevy Silver is not a perfect match for my NIssan, but close enough
Overall I'm happy with the results on my wheels using rattle cans. You would be hard pressed to tell them from powder coated wheels.

Might be a good paint, but does not match the color and finish of the original gm rally wheels from the 70's. Too dark for Argent Silver. Very disappointed.Published 1 month ago by Jamie Blackwell
The clear coat leaves a somewhat yellowish cast when used over a silver base.Published 5 months ago by Selden Deemer
Paint didn't shine like the reviews said it was supposed to. I put 5 layers on and it was a gloss black for like a week then it faded into a matte black. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Rayza Martinez
