versus
3.0 out of 5 stars It's spray paint
I was under the impression that this paint was a 'dye' but it seems to bond to plastic the same as a 'for plastic' spray paint. I was hoping it would actually be thinner consistency and absorb into the plastic. but it's a topical spray.

I haven't tested it to scratches, so maybe it will hold up better in the long run on the vinyl applications..not sure...

This stuff is great!! If your vinyl is tired looking and not torn up, give this a shot. It goes on easily and stays put. I haven't tried it on the carpet yet, but so far (dash parts) it works great. Good product!

If you're trying to dye carpet in your car or the vinyl on your doors then this is the ONLY product I can reccomend. I tried RIT, FAIL! I've tried others too without any luck so took a chance on this and had UNREAL success. Make sure you use in a WELL VENTILATED AREA because the fumes are STRONG and follow the directions for carpet to the letter and you'll have factory looking results. I had never used VHT products before and now I'll never use anything else!

Looked around at actual Vinyl dyes to do a color change on my car's seat's and found they were
extremely expensive. I read some feedback on the VHT product and deceided to try it. (I have always
used VHT paint for my engine's) I did the rear seat so far. Original color was jade green. The VHT
dye went on very smooth. (I went with the satin black because it looks more natural.) The vinyl still
feels soft and supple - looks normal - can't tell color was changed. I haven't installed the seat
yet so I cannot comment on how it will wear, but I tried to rub it off in an area that wouldn't show
and it wouldn't come off. Prep is very important for it to come out right. I cleaned the seat 1st
with soap & water, used a toothbrush on the stitched areas and then wiped the seat down a couple times
with rubbing alcohol. So far so good!

This paint went on without any problems and made the carpet look brand new. It adhered to the carpet and has stayed put.
