I absolutely loved this game when it came out. However, due to the relatively scant amount of great games on the Dreamcast, I decided to trade it in and get a PS2. I sort of regretted that decision as I really loved this game. Well, I decided to rekindle the excitement of Red Dog by searching for this game and a used Dreamcast on Ebay, and 'lo and behold there they were. At it's heart, it's a shooter. Plain and simple. The graphics at the time looked as good as anything on the PS2. The action was satisfying and the physics looked spot on. It's a pretty colorful game with lots of unique guns and aliens. The game centers on you rolling your Red Dog around in various environments shooting down pesky aliens and objects. It works much like a 3rd person shooter would. If you can find it, you should give it a try.
