Perfect Photo Frame!!,
By James Rob (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: VIEWline 12" 16:9 Digital Picture Frame, 1280 x 800 max resolution, 2 interchangeable wood frames - black and cherry wood (Electronics)
I had a smaller one for my desk that I absolutely loved, so I decided to get this one for my living room for my grandchildren's photos. I'm not the most tech-savvy guy and I had this up and running within minutes with my photos all uploaded! It comes packed with lots of features, like the interchangeable frames and the remote. I can't think of a single negative thing about this photo frame, so hence: 5/5

Just set this picture frame up today. It was going to be used in our antique shop as a way for people to browse through different categories of items we have in storage in our warehouse. I got everything organized in categories on my computer, put it on the SD card and inserted it into the frame. The picture quality is phenomenal and everything appears great, but they frame is useless to me in the shop for one reason, even though I had everything broken down into the needed categories and folders on the sd card, when you're playing back on the frame, there's no ability to sort through or even see the different categories and folders, it simply puts every picture on the card in one folder and makes you have to go through them one after another. Obviously for what I was going to be using it for, that makes it useless as it would be impractical to blindly sort through one picture after another just trying to get all the tables.Unfortunately for me, this frame is useless for what I was going to use it for, but if you simply want to load a bunch of pictures onto a card and look at them in no particular order, then this really is a great frame. Hope this helps.

I purchased this photo frame as a gift for my wife and she loves it! The screen is very vibrant and the images are very crisp and clear. This digital photo frame is very easy to setup and its very user friendly. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase and I'd would definitely buy again!

I bought this as a present for my lovely grandmother who was thrilled to get this! It was a real ease to use and looks fantastic. Nothing much to complain about. Definately worth the money and I would definately buy again.

What I like least about this product is that the aspect ratio of the screen does not match the aspect ratio of the photos. This leaves black bars on either side of the image. If you choose full screen, it lops off the tops and bottoms of the photos. This means that in effect the picture frame is not 12" diagonal but more like 10". The software is not easy to use. The image quality is OK considering the price. For the aspect ratio problem alone, I would not recommend this product.

We ordered a bunch of these frames to use as small "digital bulletin boards."Good size, great resolution, nice and bright. They'll work perfectly. They're super easy to use. They can be set up to auto-play, so after 30 seconds without any input it loads up the photos. Instead of having them dig out the remote and load files to the internal memory our staff just needs to copy/delete images onto a thumb drive to make changes, plug it in, and walk away. I left one running on my desk over the weekend... no problems with heat so far. Wasn't even warm. I don't anticipate any problems with constant, all-day use. Power is a standard wall-wart with 6' cable that plug into the side of the frame. Some minor nitpicks: These frames don't actually have the USB slot as pictured on the box but a miniUSB with an adapter dongle. Just something else to lose. The optional fade/bar/dissolve, etc. slide transitions are terrible. The processor in these little frames don't have the power to run them smoothly so they chop. It looks fine switching between photos without the transition, thankfully. The frames were covered in paper dust / little hairs. Inside the plastic bag, and under the glass for the attached 'frame' part. I had to take about half of them apart to clean them. Again, minor... The attached 'frame' part isn't solid color; at least with the black one it uses a very cheap paint that will flake off with the slightest abrasion. Had a few chips out of the box. Have a Sharpie handy for touch-ups.

I bought it long time ago, but anyway. The first one came a month before Christmas and it was a gift for my mother so I couldn't know it wasn't going to work. Anyway, when I realized it I contacted the seller via email and they were very kind and fast in providing me a new frame. The frame works pretty well and the price is good for the size of it. The menu is quite tricky but after a while you manage it easily.

For me, this item is just to be sitting on the wall to display a slideshow of family photos. My only main concern is that the color rendering is not always accurate. I had to go into the color menu and drastically change many of the viewing settings to get the colors to be somewhat acceptable. Also sometimes there is some digital "noise" in some of the images, intermittently. Perhaps it is some cheap electronics. Otherwise I like it, it looks good hanging on my wall with a piece of WireMolding covering the power cable.

We loved using this frame--used it for 8 months, but it recently died. We will purchase another digital frame, but not this one. I would expect it to last longer.
