If you like Lord of The Rings, check this game out. It follows the path of strategy games like Age Of Empires. The interface is simple to use, plus, it has an "ok" world builder. These are the pros and cons to the game though:

PROS:
1.Heroes like Gandalf, Frodo, Gimli, Aragorn, Legolas, Saruman, Grishnak, Golum, wraiths, King Of The Nazgul-plus more in story mode and all of them have special abillities.

2. Play as good or evil and decide the fate of middle earth

3. Awesome levels like Helm's Deep and the story mode is easy to get immersed in.

4.Music is about a 4 out of 5 and the graphics are smooth with allot of special effects when heroes and certain characters use special powers

5.great skirmish maps and game types (my favorite is catapult)

CONS:

1. You can only make about two characters per building
(Example: Good barracks- Gondor Swordsman, Rohan Rider)
This can be irritating when it comes to replay value of the game.

2.Population cap of 100 units. Don't expect any huge wars, just small battles with special effects. Some characters use two or three of your population. This isn't as bad as other games that try to do this because the action is generally better in this game's battles.

3. This is the biggest Con...There's a nasty bug that crashes the game without warning. I've downloaded a patch but all it does is freeze the game instead of closing it; go figure.

Well, those are the two major cons to the game. All in all, I would have to say that this game was a great idea. The developers just didn't put in enough effort to add extra characters and fix bugs like this. Even with a patch, nothing changed. I stress these things because they bring the game down a full star. Really, I would give it about a 3 and a half. If you like LOTR, and want to make your own battles, it's worth looking into. And PARENTS, if your children are into Lord Of The Rings, and like video games, this should please them. There's enough in this game to keep a player entertained for a good amount of time.

My son totally enjoyed playing this game! He liked the fact you could be good or evil and build things and destroy things as well.

I love this game because it is a strategy game and because it's fun. The graphics are great and there are many levels. I've already finished the game because I like it so much. And you can play multi-player mode that let's you play with other people around the world!
