5.0 out of 5 stars Best 26" LED on the market!!
This is by far the best LED 26" you can buy. I first purchased the LG LED 26" but found that picture was not that great when connected to a computer plus price not that great. I purchased this which is 1080P in resolution and way cheaper than the other 720P LED version from other companies. This Vizio just blew me away compared to other 26" LED tvs I looked at. Picture...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sound problem
The TV came out of the box with a high-pitched noise in the background when the sound was on. I've seen other reports of this with Vizios. Their service department promised a 2-day response, but when I hadn't heard back in that time frame I returned the TV to Amazon and purchased a Samsung. Vizio service finally got back to me after 6 days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best 26" LED on the market!!, August 3, 2010
This review is from: VIZIO M260VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics)
Picture and sound is amazing, PC hook up makes this a great computer monitor as well. Has USB to view media so you can view your pictures that are on a flash drive. The black gloss finish just adds to it. Controller for TV also better than average. Maybe a little big for my taste. I'm used to the small apple remote. I also want to mention that this was by far the easiest TV to put the stand on. No screw driver needed, just slide in and twist the provided screw. I still can't believe I got such a great TV for the price. I hooked up my PS3 to this also and for any gamers out there, I never experienced any ghosting. If your looking to buy a new 26" LED TV you have a winner with this Vizio!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good LED LCD, July 13, 2010

This review is from: VIZIO M260VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics)
Just got this LED TV few hours ago, my very first LED TV/monitor. I just finished watching a movie with it using PS3 on a HDMI. Picture and colors are good, way better than the 2 year old Samsung LCD TV (32 inch) that I have been using. The black is more darker and overall color is good. Text is nice and clear on 1080P resolution. Speaker sound is good too considering they are just small speakers with low wattage(5W times 2) but dont expect really loud sound like it would fill the whole room, the sound is good enough for a 26 inch viewing distance (respect your neighbor, use a headphone or something). This thing is lightweight, I had no trouble mounting it on a desktop mount, I was even able lift this thing with just one hand. I have not tested the coax cable, dont really care about that. Overall its good TV and monitor, contrast ratio is rather small, I have seen 3 mil to 1 on similar size monitor compared to just 100k on this one but then it was only 720P. Its also easy to set up for the stand that it came with, no need special tool, just connect the 2 together twist the screw with just your bare hand to tighten up and its good. Anyhow I bought this not knowing a single thing about it, even Vizio website doesnt display this model (as of this writing). I got USB connector, I guess it can view picture or something out of a flash drive, havent use that one yet and probably wont use it 'cuz I got PS3 thats connected on a WHS. Also theres no dead pixel or stuck pixel on mine, which is good. I would have given a 5 star if it had the WiFi feature thats on their other Razor LED line TVs but given thats cheaper ($100 or so cheaper), it still a good TV and monitor. I wish it had more HDMI input, just 1 more would be nice. I thinking of buying another one, since Im kinda short on HDMI input, I'll do a dual monitor set up, hhmmm maybe next year.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great picture for price and size, August 18, 2010
This review is from: VIZIO M260VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics)
So I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago. It came in an orderly fashion and was easy to set up. It has sharp looks and is truely thin and skinny. I will start with the cons. I cut on the TV and it made a high pitched sound. The speakers for some reason are making a high pitched noise and will not go away. It has diminished with use but it still remains and is obvious. I believe the problem lies in the extremely weak and tiny speakers. Because the TV is an LED and is so tiny the speakers are ones that you would find on a laptop and are just not made to handle the output. The other down size is the size itself. Because it is so small you have to sacrifice plugs. There is no USB,RBG,or addition YRW just the one. But it comes with the territory of having a TV this small.
Now the Pros. The picture is beautiful and amazing. It was way better than I was expecting. The picture is vibrant and clear. Blue Ray and games look great plus the automatic adjusting lighting does help the picture. It is a perfect size for a room or dorm room and I do notice a difference in the 1080p vs 720p that one of my friends has. For the little extra money the crispness of the 1080p is worth it. Overall it is a great TV with great picture. Hopefully Vizio will fix the speaker problem. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a TV for their bedroom.

I thought the other reviewers that mentioned the buzzing and humming from the speakers just got a bad units. But I'm sorry to say that I have the same issue. Annoying buzzing watching Photos on a USB and anything plugged into ether HDMI port. I can't comment if the buzz follows if you use external speakers.

I would avoid this TV. I sent it back.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good picture but audio problem unacceptable for a TV this size, August 27, 2010

Length:: 0:11 Mins

UPDATE: The problem seems to only occur with the HDMI and component inputs. The other non-HD inputs do not experience the sound problem. I used a DirecTV HD DVR and a PS3 and video sources. However, the problem occurs even without any input so it's not really relevant.

I purchased this TV for a bedroom. Although the picture quality is excellent, the TV started emitting a high pitched sound somewhat like a tea kettle. I, along with most others with a TV this size, have no intention to use an external audio system. I believe there must be something wrong with the circuitry because the sound is a constant loudness whether the TV volume is at level 1 or 100. If the mute button is pressed the high pitched sound is gone. I am not expecting high quality audio in a TV like this, but this sound problem makes watching the TV at normal audio levels unbearable. So, back to Amazon it goes. The video was recorded on a cell phone so probably doesn't do the problem justice but it should demonstrate the defect.

1.0 out of 5 stars So far so good! I spoke too soon..., August 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VIZIO M260VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics)

***UPDATE*** 8/21 - After a few days of use the TV started making a loud buzzing noise whenever anything was plugged into it. Vizio Tech Support was usless. I'm sending this back to Amazon.

I've read some reviews about Vizio's TVs really not going the distance (2 years or so) so I am a little concerned.

That being said, this is an economical, smallish model I got for my bedroom. The options are good, picture is excellent and overall quality seems to be pretty good. The only source is a BD player that also streams HD via Hulu Plus and Netflix. I have also connected this to my PC via the input in the back and it's an outstanding monitor.

I would recommend this TV if you don't have the money for a top of the line model. The picture isn't quite as good as the 40inch Sony XBR on the mantel in the living room, but this was a fraction of the price and does the job well.

My only complain is the remote. It's a cheesy piece of junk. Buttons are slow and it doesn't have much in the way of universal compatibility. Even with their OWN BD players (which it's connected to.) The tech support isn't great (they're mostly polite, not super MAGICal, but alright; they just don't seem to know much.)

So far so good, I will post more if I have concerns.

I did also order the Joe Kane's Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics [Blu-ray] and am excited to really calibrate this bad boy but so far the minor tweaks produce a pretty damn solid HD picture. And trust me, I'm picky...

2.0 out of 5 stars Very cheap and poor made LED LCD TV with consistent speaker noise, September 16, 2010

The Vizio M260VP LED LCD TV is very much so below my expectations.

Whilst it appears to have nice specifications, the build quality is very poor, the remote feels very sloppy, the software is far from being aesthetically pleasing.

The most significant problem is with the sound: no matter what volume you'd set, if higher than 0, a very annoying buzzing static sound is hearable from the speakers. The buzzing is so annoying that it is impossible to use the speakers of this monitor, especially at lower volumes. The frequency response of the speakers is equally disappointing, especially if I switch from my MacBook Pro or iMac speakers to Vizio over a mini-DisplayPort to HDMI cable, degradation in frequency response with Vizio's speakers is nothing but obvious.

The quality of the display is also quite poor. Blacks are not black, and Vizio's firmware appears to try to compensate by dimming the display if the overall picture has a lot of black. Well, guess what, after the input is no longer as black, Vizio's firmware changes to the LED back to full backlight in a couple of moments, and the process is very apparent and the flickering is quite annoying.

This is my first and last product from Vizio. Do not be misled by a nice looking spec and the attractive price tag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV!, October 10, 2010

This television has stunning video quality when running the full 1080p. The quality actually caught me off guard. The TV is incredibly thin. The only problem I have with the set is that there is a high pitched noise that comes from the speakers. Luckily I bought some cyber acoustic 5.1 surround sound speakers and they more than fix this problem for only $50.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good picture but the buzz can be annoying, November 10, 2010
This review is from: VIZIO M260VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics)
Like many other reviews, I noticed a very noticeable high-pitched buzzing sound from the bottom of speakers. I only plan to use this TV in an exercise room though and will mostly have headphones so I will keep the set. The picture is very good and the TV itself looks good mounted. In a bedroom or quiet environment, I would not recommend it though as the buzzing/shrill is always there.
