ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Bought this TV for my bedroom at one of the big warehouse stores. Was impressed with the specs on it for the price - 120hz, 1080p, wifi-enabled, etc. Got it home and setup was relatively painless.

The stand that it comes with is not adjustable however, so if you need it to be in a stand and be able to tilt up or down, this may not be the right TV for you. Luckily, I did not need it to do either of those things. Setting up picture and network settings was pretty easy as well. When you first turn the TV on, the Vizio logo immediately shows up on the screen, but it take probably 10-15 seconds before an actual channel shows up on screen. After that, you're good to go.

The remote is basic but functional. They've definitely simplified the remote from previous versions of this TV. The box it came in actually had a sticker put over the top of the text that originally said "integrated keyboard remote" with new text that says "easy to use remote". Older versions of this remote were two-sided and had a built-in keyboard. While this would have been nice to have, it's not exactly hard to type in text using a cursor with this remote. It does have buttons at the top that connect you directly to Netflix, Vudu, and Amazon Video On Demand, which is convenient (as long as those are the places you want to visit most often...). It's a little awkward getting to any of the other Vizio Apps, however, since they are essentially a subset of the Vizio Apps folder. For example, I have to go through a couple of screens to get to the Pandora app, where Netflix is one click. Not a big deal, but thought I would mention it.

As for the TV itself, the picture is REALLY nice.

The girlfriend and I were in the market for a new bedroom TV since the sound on our old 720p LCD TV died. After much deliberation and research, we decided to bite the bullet and purchase this TV. I had my reservations after carefully considering the reviews, but in this price bracket there is no other 120hz LED television worth considering. I am so happy with the picture quality and build quality that I would have no second thoughts about buying the same model in a larger size for the home entertainment center in the living room. I feel I could easily put this TV against many more expensive models of the same size and be happy to have this one.

The few things that I am not as happy with are as follows: I basically turned off all the extra picture and sound adjustment features that are in the menu system. They are not necessary and seem to detract from the over all viewing experience rather than add to it. I could not justify knocking stars for this because that stuff was so easy to turn off, and who would complain about EXTRA features anyway? I am sure in some situations they would be useful. I suspect that the Amazon user review for this tv that has it rated at 1 star because of his volume troubles simply has the auto volume adjustment feature turned on. The remote is an odd combination of slick and appealing design, intuitive button layout, but an obvious use of low-cost materials. In other words, it doesn't look cheap but it feels cheap. Another tiny nitpick is that I have an Amazon app button on the remote, but the app does not exist in the widget bar or anywhere on the TV. The button simply brings up a list of other apps. There is also a link to something called "Web Videos" that seems to take the place of what should be, in my opinion, YouTube. YouTube is not one of the advertised apps, however, so I did not take any points away.

All in all, there is not much I would change about this TV. Great value, great features, great picture.

I didn't consider getting this (Vizio) brand until I saw it in person at a local store. I was thinking Sony or Samsung but after seeing all the features it had and the sharp vivid picture quality I had to try it out. For the money you get an amazing TV. This was for a bedroom with limited space. The sound quality for such a thin package is more than adequate for the bedroom.
It comes with more than a few Internet apps Net-Flix, Youtube, etc, and the built in Wi-Fi makes for an easy set-up. At about 16 lbs. its light enough to hang from a wall. Does alot for around 400.00. since it's new I hope it will last longer then the warranty. We'll see...

This is a great TV in all respects, except for two problems. First, it takes 18 seconds to get a picture when the set is turned on. This is too long to wait, and if you doubt that, time 18 seconds on your wrist watch and you may be surprised how long that really is. Secondly, (and most importantly), the set does not have the Channel Name Edit feature I expected. I get my cable signal right from the wall, (no cable box), and more than 2/3 of the channels are not adequately labled to be recognizable, when scrolling thru the channels. This is really too bad, as this set has an excellent picture and really good sound. Vizio is the only main stream brand that uses Front Firing speakers, which really makes a big difference. Again, too bad there was no Channel Name Edit feature, (as expected), so the set would not work for my situation. I could have lived with the 18 seconds to get a picture, but not without the capability to manually name the channels. What a shame! Amazon was really good about taking the set back (at no charge to me). Don't even hesitate to order a TV from Amazon. They bend over backwards to make things right!!! Let's hope the folks at Vizio read this. Of course, if you are using a cable box, you are all set. This is really a FIVE STAR set in most all respects, (except for the lack of channel labeling). If Vizio ever adds the missing Channel Name Edit feature at some point, I would buy it without hesitation!
