I bought one of these at a Sam's Club store for $700 and I haven't been disappointed so far! Set-up was a breeze, and a 480i A/V connection looks pretty good (even better with an S-video connection) when hooked up to a standard-definition DIRECTV receiver. The unit has two composite (with S-video) and component inputs, a VGA computer input, and three HDMI inputs. Plus the TV includes multiple advanced audio inputs and an RF connection that can decode analog, digital, and HDTV signals. What's amazing about this input is that we once hooked up an old "rabbit-ears" to it and then the TV received 1080i HD signals! My son hooked up his Xbox and Wii to the TV with component cables and the picture looks great. We also connected an HDMI cable to our new Memorex HDMI DVD Player and that looks great too. But the best picture we've seen yet was when we hooked up an HDMI cable to my son-in-law's PlayStation 3. The picture looked outstanding! I've yet to buy a Blu-Ray Player and an HDMI home theater system but we'll get one soon! Probably the only downside to this TV is the contrast ratio. Vizio TV's have been known to have low contrast ratios, and this makes all video signals just a teeny bit fuzzy. Don't get me wrong though, this unit is as great as other Sony and Panasonic TV's!

-Low contrast ratio
-Fuzzy picture on 480i and 480p
-Doesn't work with all available PC resolutions

There are a few downsides about this TV, but it is excellent! If you are looking for a cheap HDTV with 1080p, you've found the right one for you!

I purchased this Vizio 37" 1080p HDTV about a week ago... I watch it everyday in my living room and still find myself amazed at the picture quality. I have another 4-yr old HDTV (different brand) that is a little smaller (32") and less resolution (720) and the difference is very significant.
I never thought there would be such a noticeable difference in picture sharpness and response time, but there is. The Vizio can't be beat!
I recommend this Vizio to anyone who wants top quality picture at a decent price. The audio on this TV is also satisfactory. As a matter of fact, I have not had the time to hook up my home theater system yet, but the sound is just fine as is. I may not even bother with the home theater at all...
By the way, I did use the HDMI one-cable hook up between the cable HD/DVR box and the TV -- it was a pleasure to get things up and running in about 30 seconds without miles of tangled connectors.

I compared this Vizio to the Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, and Sharp. The comparison clearly showed that you get more bang for the buck with the Vizio. I also felt that the picture was better than 3 of the 4 models considered, and equal to the best.

Set up did not require a Ph.D. in Quantum Physics. I unpacked the unit by myself, set up the unit by myself and made all the connections by myself. I was considering hiring somebody to do this for me because of the horror stories I have heard. However I had no problem connecting the cable box, Nintendo Wii, VCR/DVD Recorder Combo, as well as running the sound through my Kenwood THX / Bose Surround Sound system. Total set up time was approximately 30 minutes.

Picture quality is best described by my wife. We were watching "Deadliest Catch" and she was getting a little pale. I asked if she was ok and she said that the picture was so realistic that she was actually getting sea sick!

The remote was manufactured in China however the FHDTV was manufactured in Mexico.

Summary: No better bang for the buck!

VIZIO is a great balance between reliability and quality when looking for an HDTV. The VIZIO 37" 1080P TV delivers on all fronts, with a very stylish look, long lifespan and great visual experience. The contrast on this TV is great, and both whites and blacks are very well displayed, and all colors inbetween are vibrant. I highly recommend this television and it's easily one of the best bang for your buck HDTV's on the market.

I bought one of these TVs - this model, I've double checked before posting this review - at Costco early this year. Although I've always preferred the picture quality of Sony TVs, my budget just wasn't going to accommodate a Sony, and I really wanted to get a nice sized LCD HDTV with a digital tuner without waiting much longer. This model of VIzio was within my price range, and I've not had a moment's regret about the purchase.

When I brought this TV home and set it up, I didn't yet have HD cable service, but I hooked it right up to the external TV antenna system in our condo building, and the digital over the air pictures were - and still are - marvels of high def technology. A few days later I swapped out the SD digital cable box for HD cable and am now spoiled rotten by HD television channels.

This TV has been on more hours a day than I should admit, for eleven months, and its performance has been flawless. I've been so pleased with it, that when I was shopping for another HDTV last week I didn't even bother to look at another brand than Vizio.

Well to tell you the truth I have never been Electronically savvy.I opened the box,attached the stand and connected the power cord and the supplied HDMI cable and WOW!!!The picture is perfect and the sound is very good for such a low priced 1080p 37" HDTV.I paid $480.00 with shipping and I can tell you it was a steal.I watch it constantly and I am highly pleased.Vizio makes a very good product as an alternative to the higher priced Sony or Samsung.

I was a little hesitant in buying "refurbished", but we had been researching 32-40 inch LCD TV's 1080p; Vizio and some other brands and I kept coming back to this deal. I was really glad I went with my gut and bought it. It is definately worth it and have not had one second of disappointment: TV shows, movies, Wii, you name it, all had been great.

I bought this TV from another online retailer but I decided to write a review for it here. I'll keep it simple. I love this TV. The picture is great with my Xbox360, Blu-Ray, and cable. Vizio has made a fan out of me. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, look no further than Vizio.

What can I say. I am not a video or audiophile, but I have purchased many televisions (tube, DLP, LCD) in my life. This television looks and sounds great, and I purchased it for about 10 to 15% lower price than the competitive brands (Samsung). Additionally, I like this company as it is a US-based company. It's good to see this in a market the US gave up on a long time ago!

I will first look at Vizio when I need to purchase another tv...you can never have too many. Hmmm, maybe the next one will be for the bathroom!

We bought this tv for my families christmas gift. I recieved this product even before it was supposed to be shipped. The tv arrived in two days from when i placed the order. That was a great surprise. My parents were extremly surprised and they loved the size for their room. I own a Sony Bravia and am in love with that one but now looking at how good quality this vizio is, i will look into these when getting a new tv. For the price this tv has just been awesome. They have only been using it for a month now so we will see long term results but so far we are all really impressed. I am really happy with how easy dealing with amazon was!!!!
