Converter is not as pictured or described. Yes, the converter you receive is a 45w step-down converter with UK plug and US outlet...but it is not a "grounded" type, must be plugged directly into outlet as it has no wired plug (and due to weight, has a problem staying plugged into outlet at times...fire hazard!) and does not have a 3-prong US outlet, but a 2-blade US type outlet. The picture is actually of a 100/150 watt converter. The companies description should state "Not grounded, does not have a wired plug, only has 2 blade outlet". Had I known this I would not have ordered 2 of these.

Very good product. I've been using two of these for over six months with no problems. They never heat up either, which is a surprise
Note, the one in the picture shows the plug extended from the converter. The ones I received plugged directly into the wall with no extension. Cons: Heavy for travel.

Bought for a 3 week trip to the UK to charge camera's etc - no problems, worked well, no overheating or shorting out. Did not have any issues with socket slipping and sat well in UK outlets. Felt well built and was robust enough to take three times a day use - including by the kids! Good value!
