If you want to buy or read only one book on vSphere 4, it is the only book you ever need.

The clarity of information provided, and the depth of technical level and details amaze me. At the same time, it is easy to follow and simple to read. It is absolutely delightful and enjoyable to read. I have compared with a few other books on vSphere with this book - It could be the best book in my opinion!

Great book ! Excellent voice throughout the book, awesome application of real world experience, and incredible use of satire

The book is a good review of everything that was covered and not covered in the course. It follows the exact structure of the course. I found it very useful to review what I learned in the course and it is a good tool to prepare for the exam.

Technical books are hit or miss, a fact that surely does not escape anyone reading this review. This book is definitely on the "hit" list. Having tried to make it through a few VMWare books now, I have been left wanting. When I saw this book's release pending, I immediately ordered a copy.

Mike's blog is a daily read for anyone who is serious about VMWare. His perspective in the industry is unique, and he applies a natural writing talent that enables readers to understand it. This book is no exception. It is very well written, and albeit in-depth, it is accessible even to the VMWare novice.

The guy has even recorded videos on his site to describe the book's labs in more detail.

The end result is what every technical book should strive to accomplish.

Good if you are new to vSphere, helpded me get an environment up and running in about a month without any prior exposure to VMware.

This book was suggested by multiple online forums. It explains a lot of the "WHY are you doing this" that was missing from a lot of the online resources I was using to learn VMWARE. If you are jsut starting out, I cannot suggest this tone highly enough.
