3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't eliminate all interference
I bought this cable to get a better signal with my backup camera because of the interference while using the camera in wireless mode. The cable made a significant improvement but the interference from my bluetooth is still present. Even when I turn off the bluetooth (from my car stereo) I still get background interference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extension cable solved the intermitent problems with the VR3 camera, November 11, 2009

Works well requires that you feed the cable under the cars carpet to hide it, but provides power from the back up lights to the monitor so you need no longer to plug in the monitor power cord. Makes the installation much cleaner and automatic as it comes on while the car is in reverse without the need to turn anything off or on. Used two of these so far in both of my cars without problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can be used to connect DVD monitors, October 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VR3 WBCAC25 Shielded Extension Cable Set - 3 Piece (Automotive)
I purchased a Philips car DVD player with dual screens so my kids could watch movies in the back of my car. The screens are connected via strap to each of the front seat headrests. The screens are then connected together by a short cable that not only is unsightly when its hanging between the monitors, my kids have been known to kick it which disables one of the two screens from showing the movie. The cable is, however, critical if you want both screens to show the same movie.

After much searching, I found this cable. I decided to give it a try and it worked! I now have more than enough length to run the cable from one screen, thread it through the interior of the passenger seat, run it under the center armrest console and thread it through the driver seat before plugging it into the other screen. Now the cable is completely hidden and the screens are attached to the back of my car's headrest with no visible cords. The result looks like professionally installed headrest video system all for a fraction of the cost with the added benefit that I can transfer this setup (although with some effort) to another place.

I'm leaving this review in case someone is looking at this cable for a similar application. It can transmit both video and sound through a headphone style jack. It is also shielded to prevent interference over such a long distance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smart buy for a double cab P/U, December 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VR3 WBCAC25 Shielded Extension Cable Set - 3 Piece (Automotive)
Purchased this extension cable in conjunction with the VR3 back-up camera. Prior reviews suggested a wired connection from the camera to the monitor because of the distance between the components especially on longer vehicles like my truck. Hook-up was simple. Only difficulty really was pulling a taillight assembly off my Toyota Tacoma to access the back-up light wires. The extension cable has marked power wires that made it simple to connect to the wiring harness. Simply secure the cable to the wiring harness running along the frame and pull thru an existing grommet in the truck floorboard and then along the wiring tray under the door opening up to the dash. Cable end s plug directly into the monitor and camera. Powered up - there is no interference or image drop-off.

4.0 out of 5 stars not at night, December 8, 2008

Works surprisingly well considering the cost. Wouldn't want a larger screen because my Honda would have no spot on the dash to mount a larger screen. Only complaint is that it is not useful at night unless you are in a well lighted parking lot.
