5.0 out of 5 stars Fun driving toy
I have two boys ages 6 and 4. This item has brought them alot of enjoyment. It has held up to their driving frenzy antics. My 4 year old has fun picking his own car and color. The suction cups on the bottom stick well to our kitchen chairs or table. It's challenging enough for my 6 year old who just likes to try and pass the other cars. Overall, just a great toy to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't last long
While this toy was operable, my 10 year old son really enjoyed "driving" around the race track. The graphics were clear and bright (not game-system quality, but good), the action was satisfying and he really liked the whole idea of racing against the other drivers (on screen).

While this toy was operable, my 10 year old son really enjoyed "driving" around the race track. The graphics were clear and bright (not game-system quality, but good), the action was satisfying and he really liked the whole idea of racing against the other drivers (on screen).

Unfortunately, the steering wheel was only operable 11 times. The 12th time he used it, it completely disconnected the game when he turned the wheel. (Short?) I don't think it should have broken so soon. The wheel should have been constructed to withstand a child turning it. :(

I had cautioned my boy before bringing this game home that it didn't seem to be very good quality, despite having Carl Edward's name on it.

Most disheartening for my son was that he had paid $40 for it himself out of his birthday money. He said, "I just wasted my money, Mom."

Lesson learned.

I bought this toy a little while ago for my 6yr old cousin birthday, at first he was excited because there was a steering wheel to play with. We then bought batteries (there not included) and pluged it into the tv. The graphics were not good at all, at first we tought it was just the tv, but we tried 3 different tv's and it was the same thing. Within a few days he got pretty bored with it. The suction cup sticks on the coffee table at his house but not mine. He gets confused with the arrows, because on one side it's says < and > but it means up and down and the other side has the same thing < and > but on that side it means left and right. Save your money and buy something else, i would not recomend this product.

The toy is fine except for one thing. On the bottom, there are suction cups, we have tried every surface to stick this to and it doesn't work. You really need this steering wheel in a locked position, if not, it is really hard to turn and keep on the track.

I ordered the first wheel and my son had a great time with it for a week. Then it stopped working. I alerted Amazon and had a replacement sent. As soon as we plugged it in, it did not work. I am sending both back and do not want a replacement. It was a huge disappointment to my son. Hopefully we will find a driving wheel game that will work.

YOU CAN NOT return this item! We purchased this as a replacement because the cord on our original one accidentally got cut. Unfortunately, the one Amazon shipped me did not work AT ALL straight out of the box. I double-checked my batteries and even tried it on my neighbors TV just to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. We enjoyed our 1st one. And I was so disappointed to learn that Amazon would not take this one back and replace it with one that actually works.

I bought this product for my 6 year old son who is a huge Nascar fan. He was so excited. It is easy to set up and has many tracks to choose from. Carl Edwards is the only real Nascar driver pre-programmed in, but you have a choice of creating different color cars, numbers, and adding whatever name you choose. You can select practice, a single race, or a championship race which has 10 total races in it. You have the option to make pit stops during the race also. It is a lot of fun to play. Some people have complained about the suction cups on the bottom. We have not had any problem with that. My son just sits it on the coffee table when he plays without worrying about the suction cups and he never has any problem. His biggest problem is that he accidently hits the pause button during the race while he is driving because it is on the steering wheel. Although it was a little expensive, it is a good product and for a big Nascar fan, it has been a big hit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really like it!, August 28, 2008
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This was given to my son as a birthday gift. He and his little brother both really really like this!! They play with it all the time!! They are ages 4 and 2 so the four year old can definitely understand it and does it well and the little one just does it for the fun of it! We did realize right away that you definitely need to use the suction cups to secure it. So we happened to have a wooden Diego game set that has a smooth surface. We just secured it to that and it works fabulous! I could see it being difficult if you didn't have anything sturdy to secure it to but since we did we've gotten a ton of use out of it and it still works great!!
