Product Description

Designed for the mainstream music listener, GR02 'silver cable edition' is a pair of noise-isolating in-ear headphone which delivers audio reproduction that is vivid, energetic, balanced yet fun to listen. The rugged housing and cable design not only provide maximum visual aesthetics and durability, but also further improve the sound quality by the use of high quality materials. The in-ear headphone comes completed with a wide array of eartips, a shirt clip and a deluxe soft synthetic leather pouch- the quantity and quality of the accessories is unmatched by any other in-ear headphone of the same class.

A good selection of silicone tips which should ensure that you can get a good fit while using them. They were battered around quite a bit because the supplied tips were horrible comfort wise. The specifications for these in-ears look similar to that of other dynamic driver based earphones. With an impedance of 24 Ohms you can drive these earphones to their true potential through just about any DAP on the market today. The cable length is good and a little longer than most.

The new GR02 'silver cable edition' has been retuned and manufactured under stricter standard using Brüel & Kjær Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) and SoundCheck software audio measurement system to achieve channel balance of less than 2dB apart and ensure the highest fidelity for each earphone.

Newly developed high strength composite heat resisting diaphragm with better damping and shorter phase delay to further improve the sound quality. High quality silver cable (composed of 20 individual strands of silver wire each on the left and right channels and 28 strands of silver wires on the ground channel) preserves the fidelity of the signal during the transmission

Let's optimized for CD, MP3 players, cellphone and portable gaming!

I have tested several VSonic and other brands of earphones recently, and these compare very nicely to even much higher priced.

One of the biggest bangs for your buck on the market today. I only got to enjoy mine for a few days before my car got broken into and a whole bunch of valuable stuff was stolen (most valuable of all being my entire semester's schoolwork).

These things are BEAST! The bass is not muddy or ridiculous, it's just right. The right amount of punch with exactly the right amount of control. The mids are up in your face (despite what I heard from others), and very accurate. The highs are not nearly as good as some open full-sized cans, but then again, this isn't an open full-sized can. I'm not saying the highs are bad though; they're astounding for the price and the fact that they're coming out of closed IEM's.

I didn't take the time to properly look at the picture of the box before I bought these, and when they arrived with the ridiculous amount of earbuds and accessories that they did, I was caught totally off-guard. It was like a great big 'ol slab of icing on the already delicious cake. I ended up handing many of them out to my friends, there were so many!

All-in-all this is a great product, I cannot recommend it enough (coming from a small-time audiophile). As soon as I pay off my insurance deductible and new backpack and books, these are the first things I'm buying... although that might be in quite a while.

Received these about a year ago for Christmas after I requested them following my reading of some reviews over on Head-fi for a good pair of IEMs, so I think I can thoroughly say I've tested them enough. They're probably the best pair of IEMs I have ever owned and for the price, they are so difficult to beat. Clarity, sound separation, durability, choice of ear tips, bass, etc. All of it is wonderful on these. You won't be disappointed purchasing them,

I am not audiophile, but I know what my ears can tolerate. My partner has a pair of Sennheisers CX300 MKii's and I didn't really like them, they seemed like they had too much squelching and aggravated my eardrums. The bass was over attenuated and felt like it muffled the rest of the range. He's the audiophile, and loved them.

I bought these and we were both blown away. He's ordering himself a pair now. Very accurate bass mid and treble, amazing ability to create sound-stage considering. I'm amazed these are 40$! What more could you ask for!

VSONIC'S Pro R-02 may be considered budget, but they don't skimp on eartips. There are almost as many eartips on this set as in their higher end GR07's and GR01's. I counted 14 sets. Wow! I dare anyone to not find a set that fits.

In addition to the eartips, these earphones come with an elegant pouch, the same one as their high-end cousins, and a little clip to keep the cord in place.

Each earphone is clearly marked left or right. Before I started using earphones, it never occurred to me that there is a left and right, it's often so hard to see. They protrude out of the ear a little more than some other earphones, but I don't think most people would mind.

The sound is richer, more bold than my cheap set of earphones. Cord thump is minimal. Clarity is good, and sound separation is adequate. If you're searching for good sound separation, it can be found in VSONIC's higher end models. For the vast majority of people, this is a good budget earphone.

These little fellows are impressively versatile. A balanced sound & impressive bass with the right tips. Be sure to get the right fit. Vsonic has been getting major praise on Head-Fi, and now I see what all the fuss is about. The sound is astonishing at the price. Folk, hip hop, rock, even large orchestras sound convincingly real with a sense of power and space that belies their diminutive size.

If I am wrong, may the Lord strike down thee with one thousand curses!

5The VSonic GR02 in-ear headphones have a metal, plastic, and silicon construction. The silicon ridge and sleeve provide a nice grip so they are quite easy to insert and remove. This is very handy when there's an announcement on the subway as they do a good job of isolating sound.

The earpieces are slightly angled for a comfortable fit, something so subtle that I didn't notice it at first. The R & L markings are clearly legible. The cable is roughly 35 1/2" to the reinforced split (with a slider to adjust) and 48" overall with good strain reinforcement at the offset plug and earpieces.

The GR02s have very good sound reproduction across the spectrum. There is certainly neither bass distortion nor sibilance. As you would expect, the more expensive VSonic GR07s have a bit more detail on direct comparison but to be clear, in practical use this not an issue, especially when out-and-about. The GR02s are also slightly weighted more to bass and are slightly louder at equal volume.

The soundstage is not quite as expansive the GR07s but is still remarkable for in-ear microphones--especially in this price range--and is comparable to even some of my over-the-ear headphones, very rich and atmospheric.

The tips don't have the hard tube inside like the GR07 Sony-style ones. Make sure that you choose tips that fit your ear canal or, as with any in-ear monitor, you won't get good sound, especially for bass. The sample set I received has three pairs of regular silicone tips and one flanged pair, all of which fit quite securely on the stem, plus a cord clip and a velveteen pouch. VSonic seems to change the packaging and accessories on their headphones frequently and they may now be shipping with extra tips as a bonus.
