Product Description

Studio professionals, music enthusiasts, and recording artists all agree and deem these headphones a considerable step up from stock iPhone earbuds. Upon your first listen, you will be impressed and confident that this was money well spent. With R06's in ears, you'll get much better definition and a clearer stereo image than you've been used to. Stated another way - making an audio / visual analogy - the difference you'll hear in the musical sound quality of 06 headphones is as noticeable as the difference between an HDMI TV and a tube television in picture!

Reliability is guaranteed by the company's flawless design principals and wisely-researched selection of materials (no bio-cellulous membrane for the diaphragm, but otherwise this product is almost identical to VSonic's GR07 headphones, which are highly popular in Europe and North America for their sound characteristics and remarkable comfort). Truly an international company for the working class, VSonic offers these flat-out rocking headphones at a steal of a price. If you seek value, reliability and quality in an earbud (IEM headphone), look no further!

They are comfortable and they sound great.

The low end is more focused toward the mid bass, but retains the full depth and a satisfying punch.

I purchased these after my gym set of headphones died, I have never heard of Vsonic but being that they had such great reviews on headfi.com I decided to give these a shot. The headphones I have owned are: Shure eC3 (My favorite set of all time..but had durability issues had 2 pairs each died after only 1 yr), Creative Aurvana (stolen), Klipsch S4 (Hated those), Creative Aurvana 2, UE TF10's (Still have them but never was wow'd by them, Sony MDR EX600 (Amazing just hated fit and how I looked wearing them) and now Vsonic GR06. In terms of best value the GR06 wins hands down, I actually prefer them over the TF10's and Sony MDREX 600 for outside of the house use. The Fit is excellent they give you a bunch of different tips although I still couldn't get one that gave me a snug fit, I purchased Sony Hybrid tips and they gave me the perfect fit and seal (for use at the gym). The profile or look of the headphones is also excellent, my major gripe with the Sony Ex600's and TF10's was that I couldn't get over how big they looked or how dumb I looked wearing them outside, I tried to get over the who cares how you look as long as they sound good but in the end couldn't. I also couldn't get a good fit with the Sony Ex600's or good isolation (picked up the most outside noise). The TF10's stick out of your ear and got uncomfortable over time, but the Vsonic GR06 fit the best providing the best fit and isolation (prob rate 8-10 you can still hear some outside noise once in a while). In terms of sound quality I would give it a 9/10 (for the price), I remember purchasing the Klipsch S4 and being extremely disappointed after all the hype but I was extremely impressed after not knowing what to expect from this little known company.Read more ›

The VSonic GR06 IEMs are an outstanding value in the $50 to $100 price range. These headphones are a serious consideration for any consumer looking for an all-around, do it all IEM on a budget.

In The Box: Aesthetically pleasing box with a wide selection of different ear tips, 15 in total. Awesome! However, the carrying case is soft and has a very stiff magnetic opening mechanism. Forgivable.

Build Quality: Everything in the box has a quality feel. The GR06s themselves have solid plastic driver housings and sturdy cable with a proper right angle connector. Thank You!

Sound Quality: These dynamic driver IEMs impress with a more consumer orientated sound signature. The low end is more focused toward the mid bass, but retains the full depth and a satisfying punch. The mid range is forward and articulate, preserving the details. The highs are spectacular and extend well. The GR06 favors accurate rather than an aggressive treble.

Presentation: The overall presentation of the GR06s is phenomenal at this price range. The drivers are quick and respond really well especially in fast paced tracks. They also give a good sense of scale and power. The sound stage is not the widest, but instruments are separated nicely.

Final Thoughts: To say that the VSonic GR06 could be better is honestly nitpicking. The few gripes I have are mainly reserved for much more expensive sets and are not relevant to this review. These IEMs are excellent both in price and performance, offering a fun sound signature for the budding audiofile.

Highly Recommended!

Having read the excellent reviews on the VSonic GR06, I was anxious to receive my order and try them out. I'm sorry to say, I was a little disappointed. From the reviews, I expected a more expansive and well-defined sound, but instead, they seemed to be a bit muddy and cramped. It may have to do with the kind of music I listen to, which leans towards acoustic music like classical and jazz. They did seem to sound better with amplified music. They were compact and comfortable too. All-in-all, they weren't bad, just not as good as I expected, and not much better than a relatively cheap older pair of Sennheiser MX300's that I have laying around. I had to send them back. Not sure if I just got a dud pair or what, but I was expecting better.

I've had a lot of IEMs from a lot of makers, everything from the Klipsch S4s, Denon AHCKs, various Sennheisers and shures, audiotechnica, even the beats in ears (not worth even $50 in my opinion). These headphones were a pleasant surprise, the box was a little unassuming and plain, but every earpiece you could ever need is included, they are made of plastic but feel pretty sturdy. I'm no audiophile by any means, but having owned decent pairs of headphones in the past I have a lot to compare these to, at $60 they sound better than many $100+ IEMs ive heard, I purchased these mainly for bass as I have a set of ATH M50s for neutral listening. They shine across all genres, hip hop, electronic, classical etc. You can't beat this sound quality at this price or even at $100.

I am no audiophile but I have been through some iems, shure 530, Klipsch s4, X10, HF5, Super Fi 3 B&O A8, this iem is just unbelivably good for the price you pay... and I would say this is one of the most sturdy iems I have used... each one i've had developed some type of wiring issue and I can tell you that build is very solid. Sound is very warm and clear you will not regret buying this one... I will use this one until i can afford a custom iem...
