A four-line display provides plenty of room for information in the speed-dial registry, while the 2.4 GHz operation supplies a signal strong enough to use the handset inside or out on the lawn. Handset-to-handset operation allows families to find each other throughout the house, and the conference-call capabilities are convenient when out-of-town relatives call. Other features include:

horrible horrible horrible,

This review is from: Vtech VT2467 2.4GHz DSS Cordless Phone Answering System w/Extra Handset (Office Product)
Sound quality on the answering machine is so poor that you can't understand what's being said when people leave a message. User interface is terrible -- the buttons don't respond properly, so you end up dialing the wrong number frequently; if you don't enter information fast enough, it times out and clears the display before you save or dial; if you wait too long after a message to hit the delete button, the phone deletes everything in the mailbox... I HATE these phones and the answering machine!

worked fine for me for years!,
This review is from: Vtech VT2467 2.4GHz DSS Cordless Phone Answering System w/Extra Handset (Office Product)
I've had this phone and answering machine, plus a few additional handsets and base chargers, and they've worked fine for years. I liked the system so well that when the original phone was dropped one too many times and the buttons stopped working well, I bought a replacement phone on ebay. It's been great for probably five or six years, but now it's finally on its way out, the answering machine charger has stopped charging the phone properly. But I think five or six years is a great lifespan for this system, and I can drag it out another year or so probably by just using the separate base charger to charge the phone rather than the answering machine.
