I got these phones as the life on my older Uniden phones was pretty bad. These phones, so far, have very good battery life and the range seems very good. Today I walked around my garden while on the phone and did not notice any loss of signal. Once you hit a button the LCD screen is easy to read. It has a jack for a headphone so I am happy about that. Two things that are not ideal...you have to hit a few buttons before you can call back someone who recently called you. I would prefer to go directly to the caller list. It is almost easier just to punch the numbers in which I would rather not do. And, you can't name the phones..they are just numbered, so when you are paging someone and you don't remember which number phone is in which room, it can be a problem. My old phones had an option to page all phones which solved that.At first I thought I could hear a sort of faint "air" or faint buzzing sound on the phone but it either went away or I got used to it. I got these because of top reviews from Consumer Reports...while not the top one, it was the top listing with a headphone jack. I am not sorry I got these and look forward to a long relationship with these phones!

Graet phone and good price, a couple of things I don't like; the ring tones are very limited and very annoying, there is light on the hand set to show there is a message on the answering machine you will have to check the main unit. Otherwise it is a great buy consedring price

Could not find a 2 line telephone/answering machine with extras anywhere-love it!! light weight-just plug end to an outlet and charge...thats it. I also have:VTech DS6151 2-Line Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System and Caller ID with 3 Additional Handsets

Although I'm a bit of a techie, I'm sometimes of the category if-it-ain't broke-don't-fix-it, so I was uncertain if I wanted to replace our Panasonic phone system with this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. After reading the positive reviews, bought this one (original + 3 accessory handsets) and found long battery life and very clear reception. Thought the static was the phone line but, evidently, it was the phone. VERY easy installation (installed everything in about 10 minutes) and speedial programming.

Revised 12.3.11: Although I've been happy with the phone until now, I have recently begun have many conference calls in which I need to key in 2 sets of numbers; the second set doesn't pick up the number "3". They told me that it's defective and I should send it back for a replacement. This is my main home (2-line) phone, so I can't be without it for as long as it takes to send a replacement. I told them they should have a policy like everyone else when a product is in warranty. Send me a new one and I'll send back the old one within the prescribed time period or you charge my credit card the full price. Instead, they wanted me to pay $15 for a one-line loaner phone (I need 2 lines; that's why I have a 2-line phone!). Ridiculous. I'll never buy from them again! Now I can't use the phone for teleconferencing!

The phones are great! They have a great charge life. They were ready to go almost right out of the box. I love being able to have a handheld in all parts of my house without having to have a phone jack in the same spot.

I replaced my 2 line Panasonics and very happy with my replacement choice. I even bought a set for my 75yr old mother though the screen a little harder for her to see.

I have been searching for just the right system for my employment. And this is it!! I manage a three story cat adoption shelter and having a phone nearby is such a help. Try running down three flights each time the phone rings.

This is a great phone. Very clear sound. Both lines are clear,and the speaker phone works like a charm. Wish I had bought this first time.

The phones were easy to set up. The directory of numbers is available on all phones once you enter them. There is adequate volume on both handset and base. Very pleased with this phone system.

So far I have not had any real problems with this system. In the base unit while on speaker, it sometimes will have static in it, had the phone company out to check out lines, they said nothing was wrong, but for some reason after he left it got much better
