Some of the pieces were a little harder to fit together, but everything does fit and the construction feels sturdy once assembled.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The Grow and Discover Tree House is a major hit with the kids! It was a little bit difficult to assemble, but once it was put together, we couldn't keep our 4 year old girl and 14 month old boy away from it. The baby loves to go inside and walk around, dragging the whole thing with him, like a little mobile fort. They both enjoy putting balls down the slide and the various buttons and features. It's really a good deal for the money, very durable once assembled. I was not sure about taking up the space for this toy in our home, but it's well worth adding to the collection. Both of my kids play with it every day.

I LOVE the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy! My son is a little old for this at 3 but he still enjoys the songs and identifying different shapes and colors. However, my niece who just turned one is is the perfect age for this toy. She enjoys the songs and loves the little animals. She is in the in between stage of crawling and walking, so she loves the little window because she can crawl up to it, open the shade and be able to sit up and look through it.

I've really noticed how both my niece and son use their fine motor skills when playing with the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy. They both have a blast cranking the little little gears around and playing peek a boo with each other through the window. My son likes to point out all of the animals and share their sounds. I also have heard him continuously practice his counting with the little buttons. It's a perfect floor toy too for kiddos who are just starting to sit to kids who are up and walking around. The sounds and colors draw the attention of any little one and keep them occupied for long periods of time.

I highly recommend the Grow and Discover Tree House Toy if you are thinking of a gift for a child's first birthday or for a first Christmas gift. While the age range is up to 36 months and it is appropriate for kids 6-36 months, I'd say the ideal age for this toy is 1-2 years of age. I definitely plan on ordering one now for my nephew (who is 8 months) this Christmas.

Both of my children have enjoyed playing with this. It is a little bit young for the 5 year old, but she liked playing with her little brother when he was using it.
There are a lot of different aspects to it.. all sides. The little doors and the chute for the balls on the back are cute. There are lot of pieces to this and it took me awhile to get it all together, but it wasn't overly complicated. My kids would not stay out of the middle of it while I was attaching and assembling everything- and it probably took twice as long. The upside of that was that they were so excited to play with it.. and have been back to play with it over and over and over since.

I don't think I can say enough good about the Discover Tree House for VTech. We had a similar toy from a different brand that we loved, and weren't entirely sure we wanted to replace it. But as soon as we set this up, we knew it was a winner. Our 19month old son can't get enough of it, and I have to remind my 5 year old that she can only play in it, if her brother is asleep. There is a myriad of different play areas on the treehouse, with lots of fun sounds, that also promote learning. Every day I seem to find something new I hadn't noticed or heard from it.
For example - my husband was playing with our son in it, and found out that it will tell you the color of the ball when it is pushed down the chute. Then I found the clock also plays different sounds depending on what time you turn it too (oh the night time sound, I wanted to take a nap listening to it!).
After putting this and our previous playhouse next to each other for a few days, it was very clear that our son preferred the VTech tree house, so we passed our other toy on. The tree house seems a bit more compact as well, taking up less space, but still leaving plenty of room to play.

We received this item for review purposes. This is a great play item for crawlers through toddler/preschool aged kids. It's a fun "fort" for the toddler/preschoolers. The numbers, clock, gears, shapes, balls, and sounds are very entertaining for a range of ages. It's colorful, fun, and kept the kids engaged. This keeps the kids busy!

The first thing you’ll discover when you open up the package is that the instruction manual is a little sparse on information. By step 3 or 4, I was having to rely quite heavily on the pictures on the box itself to help me translate the 2 line explanation into a 5 minute exercise in patience. Some of the pieces were a little harder to fit together, but everything does fit and the construction feels sturdy once assembled. Expect up to 30 minutes to assemble—this could have been made easier with clearer instructions.

As far as the design goes, the colors are bright and friendly. There are several moving parts that are hooked up to the electronic panel, such that opening the window, pushing shapes through correct holes, or pushing several of the buttons generates a sound response. As a parent with two small children, the visual and sound experience help keep the child engaged. The “house” itself is big enough for smaller children to crawl inside and there are several attention-holding activities, whether inside or outside the house.

The numbers and letters may be too old for very young children, but my son is becoming interested in clocks—even though he’s growing a little old for the toy, he can spend time being a big brother to his sister and he still likes to push buttons, count, and call out the letters he sees. He’s also able to push the shapes through holes, which a very young child may struggle with (one of the shapes on our toy needs a fair amount of effort to push through the hole it goes in). The cogs at the front are also a little trickier to rotate more than one turn at a time as they tend to stick a little, but nothing an older child couldn’t handle—and the cogs feel more like a filler piece than a reason to get the toy.
