Gift for Granddaughter
Purchased as Christmas gift for 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. Liked the fact that the keyboard is a standard QWERTY type rather than the ABC type that most had. Wish the screen was a little bigger, but she thoroughly enjoys playing with it.

A disappointment!
We bought this for our daughter last year for Christmas from ToysRUs (she was almost three at the time). We immediately found it to be deffective, so we exchanged it for another one. After a very short time (and very little play time), that one also 'broke.' The top half of the screen showed the letters/characters, but didn't light up or recognize the wand. This made it a...

We bought this for our daughter last year for Christmas from ToysRUs (she was almost three at the time). We immediately found it to be deffective, so we exchanged it for another one. After a very short time (and very little play time), that one also 'broke.' The top half of the screen showed the letters/characters, but didn't light up or recognize the wand. This made it a guessing game for you to see if you happened to move the 'mouse' over the right amount to get to the answer.
Needless to say, our daughter didn't play with it much over the past 11 months. We are grateful that we had bought the ToysRUs reimbursment plan. We should be recieving our reimbursement soon to put toward the Leapster Explorer we bought her for Christmas this year. Here's hoping that lasts longer and has better playability... |
