This product was recommended by a friend after I expressed my concern about moving our son to his own room at 6 months. I saw the price here and said "no way!" I did some further research and found it at Walmart for $25! Definitely worth $25 and all the batteries. We have to get new batteries every 2 weeks or so, so that's about $10 a month in batteries. Our son loves it and we believe it helped to comfort him while we let him cry it out. It made me feel better too I think. The sound sensor works most of the time, but I think it varies depending on how long the baby has been asleep. Sometimes the lights and music come on, sometimes only music, sometimes after several hours it doesn't come back on, sometimes it does. Also, with the batteries, if you turn off the projector you can get more battery life out of it!

I love v-tech products. Most of my son's toys are v-tech. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with this product. It is supposed to turn on when noise occurs in the room. It does NOT! Also, it would burn through batteries like they were candy. At least, we think it was a battery problem. The product didn't quit running, it would keep reiterating itself, like a broken record, instead of turning off or continuing the song. Changing the batteries fixed that be we changed them about once a week!

Another thing to take note of is that I have a crib with thicker rails-about 4"wide and 3"thick. The straps do not fit around the crib and we had to zip tie it (a problem with had with other similar products).

I think this price is wrong....I got it at Walmart for $25.

We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old (it was the cheapest and yet most feature rich at the time). He is now 13months and still loves it. I love that he uses it at night to get himself back to sleep. We have travelled a lot (home 2weeks, gone 2weeks..) and this has been all we need to keep him sleeping like he does at home. It did develop the grinding squeak but it fixed itself after a month. It didn't bother him so I didn't let it bother me. He loves the projector light, if I dont turn it on - thats what eats the batteries up!!! - he immediately gets up and turns it on for himself. I just invested in rechargable batteries and would gladly buy another one of these.

My baby's 3 months old and for the first 2 months I had to rock him or nurse him to sleep. Since we got this all I have to do is put him down, turn the soother on and HE'S OUT! he absolutely adores it and I do too! the sensor works just great he'll cry a little and it will turn on. The lights are SO CUTE and the nature sounds even help ME go to sleep! They sound very natural and not fake like those that make you dizzy for going over and over again on the same. The music as well not as repetitive as many other crib toys, it goes for a long time before repeating the same things. RECOMMENDED!

I bought this for my 7 month old to replace his mobile and he loves it! My only problem is a horrible crank noise it makes when the wheel turns and the fact that it eats C batteries like caviar! I don't mind the battery part because he does play with it before falling asleep to the music and I can always tell when he wakes up because he turns it on. I like the different light selections and the projector and the different choices of music is great too. My 2 year old nephew and my 5 year old son both love to play with it and want their own.

I bought this for my son to sleep at my parents house and it worked for about 5-6 times before the problems started. First, it stopped playing music while turned on and then the projector went out and lastly it wouldn't turn off so the animals kept moving and running down the batteries with no music or projector! Don't waste your money, too many other options out there.

I actually purchased this from the store, not Amazon. It's been a wonderful toy. My son LOVES it. It has nice, soothing music he can control. It's been thrown across the room and it's still working beautifully. Have yet to change the batteries. For us, it was definitely worth it.

We recieved this as a gift after we already had the Ocean Wonders aquarium. I wasn't going to keep it at first, but I am glad I did. I like everything about this better than the Ocean Wonders - music, lights, motion. My daughter especially loves the projection on the ceiling.

Our baby loves it but it needs battery replacements every few weeks. You know this because songs start getting loopy and repetitive and it is very annoying hearing it at 2 am and having to go into the baby's room to turn it off.

We have used this soother everyday for 18 months. My daughter loves it, she is in a toddler bed now and she still turns on the music and projector. My favorite feature is the automatic turn on when the baby cries.
