Im not going to tell you about the features of this product since you can find them online.... This is a rebranded vtech LS5145.
It comes with different packaging and the tmobile logo...
Do you need to be a tmobile subscriber to use all the features of the phone? nope. Its just a branding that I guess tmobile used for their customers.
These phones have very good range... they are very stylish and have a lot of features.
I actually bought two of these sets since I find it cheaper to buy this than two separate extensions.
You get more than what you paid for. solid specs and good pack of features.
Another user noted that there is not an answering machine. granted... there is NOT a digital answering system... just a small blinking light that tells you when you have a voicemail in your own carriers service.

The only cons I could find are these:
1.- you cant upload your own pics, and for that matter, your own animations... this phone has a really nice screen... think of the screens that cell phones used back in 2000.
2.- I thought that they had an input - output jack but nope... not a chance for a headset.
3.- the base is too light... weightwise.

I guess thats it
hope this helps

I bought this phone based on description and pictures, ignored a few negative reviews on the product because they were mostly focused on the lack of bluetooth interconectivity, I only wanted a phone with this good looks worked on a basic level. This thing has such a slow mic that I was yelling all the time and the battery died after a couple of months of use. When it worked it was painful to use the handset I was mostly stuck talking to the base. The letters on top of the buttons are painted on, so they fall off, no matter how careful you are with the device. Bluetooth won't sync your phonebook with anything, you can't add pictures to the color display, or upload new ringtones or anything. All in all, this phone had great potential, but it was poorly executed.

This is just a wonderful cordless phone.

Very modern and stylish.

You get the base unit and an extension unit.

High quality construction, nice features, good clear sound.

The Bluetooth feature is really nice allowing you to use this phone with Bluetooth headsets and with your cell phone. Very handy feature and not found on many home phones.

Highly recommended especially at this price.

I've owned this phone for a few years. It is quite stylish (still) but my main complaint is the bluetooth feature. It is VERY spotty. Sometimes it connects with my phone, sometimes it doesn't (more often it doesn't).

I had to re-pair it often with my previous cell phone (Sprint Mogul), and with my new phone (Sprint Hero) it disconnects when I answer the phone on the VTech handset. The call is still alive- but only on the cell phone, not via bluetooth.

Also, when a cell call is in progress you cannot tell it to go to the VTech system- so if you are on a call while in your car and go into your home, you cannot resume the call on the VTech phone.
The land line part seemed to work fine, but I no longer have one.

There is no central phone directory or caller ID log- each handset has its own.

Also note: if you use it solely with a cell phone you cannot use the answering machine feature (no big deal), and that the clock will NOT set by a cell phone call coming in. You have to set date/time manually- a land line call will set it for you, though.

So I basically have a pretty phone that lets me know when my cell phone rings. Sometimes. Other than that... its useless. Well, other than gifting to a landline-owning friend who has a cell phone that actually works with it.

At first these phones worked quite well but as time went by the volume on the handsets began to fade. Now they are nearly silent and we can not here the party on the other end. Both handsets are now nearly mute and we have had to replace them with the 15 year old Southwest Bell phones that these were bought to replace. Rather ironic, a very poor product from VTech.

I'm really disappointed in this set. They look great, have great features and the price was impressive. Unfortunately whenever I talk on them all I hear on the other end is "you're cutting out, I can't hear you. Unless the ear piece and the mouthpiece are held in an exact spot the phone conversation is very inconsistent. I'm not someone who often buys things on line as I'm always worried about what I will get. This product has reinforced those fears.

We have been on the market for a new cordless phone for a while, and after a couple of visits to BestBuy where we did not find anything we liked, we decided to go online.

We liked the look and the features of the VTech 5146 and decided to give it a try. In hindsight we realized that its recent steep price drop should have been a warning sign which, at the time of ordering, we ignored.

The set was delivered promptly: you have to give credit to Amazon and its vendors here as they are top-notch.

We set the phone up and started using it. We immediately noticed that the sound was weak and tinny, especially on some long-distance calls. We had the same problem with our old wireless, so it was disappointing to see that the VTech was not an improvement in that regard. But that was not the main reason why we decided to return the set to the vendor: that reason was the extremely short life of the fully charged battery. On several occasions we had to switch the main with the auxiliary receiver after 10-15 minutes in order to continue a conversation, because the main was beeping and indicating the battery was low and about to quit.

Now we are again on the market for a wireless phone. In the mean time our old and trusty line phone is filling in. Doesn't look like much, but it gets the job done.
