We've bought several of these and they are the best phones we've bought. We have bought expensive phones in the past, but the VT9115 phone has lasted longer and actually works. We have never had any problems with clarity. This is a very durable phone also. We sure have tested. We probably droped our phone about 100 times and it keeps on working. VT's your best bet.

I've owned one of these phones for a year or so now, and it has been the best one I've ever purchased! The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is because it doesn't have some of the features that I like, like Caller ID in the handset or headset jack, etc. But, they've got a great range, they're sturdy (I lost count how many times I dropped mine!) and they sound nice (not tinny or over sensitive like some other phones). This is the PERFECT gift for a kid who is wanting a phone of their own. In fact, that's why I am buying another one!

We have had two VTech 900 mhz phones. The first one didn't work right out of the box. The second one worked great for about a year. Now you can talk but the keypad is toast. The range and clarity are super.

I have owned this phone for 7 months and it works great! The range and clarity are good, which is nice if you go outdoors a lot while talking. It has been dropped and slobbered on by my pets too.

Bought this on a whim to temporarily replace the $120 Sony while it was being serviced. This phone actually performed BETTER than the digital spread spectrum phone I had been using. And if it breaks, I can just buy 4 or 5 more! Don't be scared off by the low price, the sound quality is great and I haven't had any problem with the range.

The VTech VT9115 does exactly what is says it will do. It is clearer, has better range and a significantly quieter keypad than the AT&T that ended up in the dump. Additionally, it is nice not to have to pay for features I don't use (i.e., call ID, etc.). I'll buy another when my other phone dies.

I am happy with the phone, except, purchased it for my bedroom,the ring is terribly loud and unpleasant. I've always hadAT&T(Lucent) phones in the past and the ring was better.

I havealso recently purchased a Uniden phone and the ring is similar, maybe this is just how the newer phones ringers are. I don't enjoy hearing my phone ring anymore, I have to remember to shut the phone in the bathroom at night, don't know what out there is better, but it is definitely loud if that is what you are looking for.

I received my VTech a week ago and have been nothing but pleased with it. The set-up instructions are very simple, I like the four different ringer settings, and best of all the phone is very clear. I was afraid such an inexpensive phone might give up some sound quality, but if it does, I can't tell the difference.

I have owned Uniden, AT&T, Panasonic & GE cordless telephones, but none compare in quality, durability, ease of use and sound quality. I purchased the one I have at Office Depot on clearance and could not be happier. I have just purchased 2 additional here at Amazon for my parents and extension use. The price here is actually better than I originally paid at clearance. My wife and son have dropped and knocked this telephone around more than a prize fighter gets pounded in 15 rounds. This is a definite recommend!!!

it was always clear, but after 5-7 months it just stopped working. Own a Uniden now, love it. Not quite as clear tho.
