Product Description

This G23 bearing balls are made with chrome steel and are 1/4-inch in diameter. These bearing balls are grade G23 for precision relative to sphericity, surface integrity, and size and are made from chrome steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. The G23 bearing balls are suitable for use in single and double row bearings that support radial loads. It comes in a pack of 100.

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

I bought 100 1/4" ball bearings to overhaul my bottom bracket and rear hub. They worked perfectly for these purposes. The bearings seem to be of good quality - flawless finish and absolutely uniform diameters. These stand up well to compression and will not deform. I would definitely buy this again!

Every time you enter magnetic buckyballs in the Amazon search engine, these pop up. Like many others I was fooled by this misdirection. They probably have something in there search line about magnetism. Anyway. It a lot like bait and switch, from my point of view or Amazon is playing a huge joke on us all.

VERY cheap, love using these for my slingshot. 1/4" have a high cutting-through ability but because of them being smaller they have less air-resistance and can go faster but have less momentum and pushing force then 1/2" ball bearings of course. But these are nice. Shoot faster, more cutting-ability.
No defects from any balls. In a nice small sealed plastic wrap. 100 is heaps for 3-something bux! :D

These and the 1/2 inch ones are great for slingshots and less expensive than buying shot sold as slingshot ammo.

If you need bearings, this will do the job! Make sure you have the right size of bearing. Used to replace a vintage road bike axle and worked great.

I didn't quite need this many ball bearings, but I did use one to epoxy to the slot where my bike handle bars are mounted, to prevent thieves from taking them, and this was a perfect fit. Was exactly what I needed so I have no complaints about this product, well worth the price since I had trouble finding the right fit in the store. Definitely recommend this product.

They were as described, which is why I give 5/5 stars. I contemplated giving 4/5 starts because they didn't work too well for my purposes, but that's not really the product's fault.

I got these to create hurricane balls with. These were pretty much impossible to solder together. I tried just melting them together too, but that didn't work. I had to run a current across two of them to have them melt together at their point of contact. It was a really weak though and would constantly break apart.
