The First Good Solution for Desktop Phone Bluetooth,

First off, I'm very hard on my phones. So 4 stars from me may be 5 from other people.
The headset base has a pasthrough to your corded phone. You plug the telephone cord from your wal into the base, then another cord out from the base goes into the main phone. So, this does work with every phone. The sound quality is good. It's on par with ost headsets, but I have heard better. If you're reasonable about your expectations for a Bluetooth headset, you'll be happily surprised with the quality. The only problem I have is that it does sometimes take a couple tries to get the headset to kick in. I'm usually on the phone and then swith to headset, so it's not a huge deal, but it could be better. One thing most people won't like is the size. I actually like the size of this headset vs. the small, hang off your ear headset. Overall, this is a great first step in Bluetooth for the desk phone.

I've had this for a couple of months now, and I love it. Good points include: comfort over several hours of wear, consistently good sound on both ends and long battery life. Bad points include: headband only fits small heads and difficulty connecting the first time since the multi-function button is squirrelly.

I really don't know what I did before I had this product. Here's what you need to know:
1. It's very comfortable. I walk around my house all day with it on, and forget it's there till it rings. I can even bend over, pick stuff up, etc., and it stays in place, but is totally comfortable. 2. It works great within about 60 feet of the base. Beyond that, it gets a bit scratchy, and past 75 feet or so, it isn't really usable. But that gives me a pretty long tether. 3. The sound that comes through to me, and the sound to those I'm talking to is as clear as an old wired handset. In short, perfectly clear. 4. I've had it for 2 1/2 years now and since the day I set it up (quickly and easily), have not had any problems with it. I just wish I could dial out from it. That requires a return to the base phone. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to move around while on the phone for long periods!

Good initially - things went wrong after a few months.,

Given my previous experience with cellular Bluetooth headsets without significant microphone booms, I was very excited to see this headset available - especially because of it's integration with an office phone. The phone did not disappoint initially - as it seemed to perform well with my cell phone, and the base connected to my office phone. I did however notice that the volume on the cell phone was much louder (and clearer) than with the base connected to my office phone (this I was willing to deal with).
After a few month's use, I started getting complaints from callers that they couldn't hear what I was saying - that I continued to cut out (both landline and cell). About that time, I also noticed that the headset began to click when walking as if something had come loose inside and was jiggling around. Leaving the headset in standby overnight would nearly completely drain the battery. Although the base station is a charger, wearing the headset home meant that I couldn't charge overnight (base connected to office phone), and if I forgot to turn off when I went to bed, it would be dead (or nearly so) in the morning. Talking with my boss nearly every day on his cell phone, I previously learned to HATE Bluetooth headsets without booms (his Bluetooth Motorola XXX...). Lately, I asked him if he got a new headset - as I could really hear him well (as if he were plugged in - or better) - even when he was apologizing for being in a noisy environment. I found out his IT buddy recommended he buy a Plantronics 510 which he had done a few months ago. I'm now a believer that a boom isn't necessary with a good Bluetooth headset and plan to get one myself.

Could not get a clear dial tone.,

I desperately wanted this to work. Even standing inches from the base in an isolated room I could not get a clear dial-tone. Continuous dial tone drop outs make the B100 unusable.
Head set is much too small for large heads.

For the money there must be better choices - such as buy a new phone. I use this for my home office. There is so much static at start up time that it is painful to use. I needed a wireless solution for my cordless phone so that I could freely move about.
People complain that they can't hear me during conversations so I have to speak louder than normal. I have discontinued using it and have opted instead fora headphone set with a wire.

Poor Performance = BIG Disapointment,

I was excited about this new product but my excitement was quickly dashed when I began using the product. It promised better performance than any corded or cordless phone but it did not deliver on either promise. Noticable static was constant regardless of how close I was to the receiver. People I was talking to also noticed the difference as they all thought the poor quality was the fault of their own phone, which I knew it was not because all problems disapeared once I switched to my regular home cordless phone. To make sure I did not get a bad phone, I went to the local electronics store and purchased another B100 BlueParrott headset identical to my first one, and it performed exactly the same. Both BlueParrott phone headsets were returned to the retailers and I returned to my earpiece and mini mic for those long phonecalls the make you ears bleed.

great freedom. reception is fine. pairing is difficult (the instructions are less than clear and/or wrong), but after 10 or so trial-and-error attempts, you'll figure it out.

Great headset overall, except annoying that I get cut off occasionally.,

This is a pretty good headset overall. I actually have a very small head and have a very difficult time finding small enough headsets, so I was very happy with the size. I did also have some initial trouble getting the headset to work. Reading the directions helped a lot, ;) and I've found it will pick up consistently if I answer the regular phone, pick the headset up off the stand, press the multi-function button ONCE, and then wait a couple seconds. I can't get the multi function button to work otherwise. I have the feeling they tried to cram too many functions into one button and made it more confusing. The sound is pretty good for a bluetooth headset, and I love being able to walk around with free hands and no phone clipped to my belt. The most annoying thing that I don't like about the headset is that sometimes I'll be in the midst of an important conversation and it will just clip off the sound so I have to go pick up my handset. This can be really annoying when somebody is in the middle of sharing an important thought. It happens very consistently to me too -- at least 2 or 3 times per conversation.

the sound (or lack of it - couldn't hear very well) was terrible. People I was talking to thought I was calling from an echo chamber. I took it to a friend's house to be sure it wasn't my phone or my telephone line but it was still very poor quality. Returned within days.
