Large enough for common everyday use and a perfect size for individual meals, this 32-count package of 1-quart storage bags helps keep foods fresh up to five times longer than normal preservation methods. The 3-1/2-mil-thick material creates a superior bag for optimum freshness and a reliable seal. Easy to use, just fill the bag with items to be packaged, leaving about three inches at the top of the bag to allow enough room for sealing. Place the edge of the bag over the sealed bar of the vacuum-packaging machine, and make sure the open end of the bag rests in the spill trough. Vacuum and seal using the instructions of the vacuum-packaging machine. Typical embossed-channel vacuum bags tend to flatten over time, minimizing the channel for air to escape, which leads to an incomplete vacuum process. These bags, however, feature a unique design that includes a third layer of perforated material to create an effective channel for air to escape, maximizing bag suction during the vacuum process. The bags work harder so the machine doesn't have to. Even more, the bags can be frozen, refrigerated, microwaved, or boiled--making dinnertime a snap. Made in the USA, the bags are designed for use with all vacuum-packaging systems, including the SVP-5, MagicVac, Tilia, Rival, Kenmore, Foodsaver, and Black & Decker. Each industrial-strength pre-cut vacuum-storage bag measures 8 by 11-1/2 inches.

These bags are much better than the original Foodsaver bags. They don't get holes in them when you move stuff around in your freezer. They work the first time every time. They have a special channel that gets more air out. The plastic is thinner but more flexible when its frozen. Try them you will like them!

Purchased these to save a little money on bags. They fit and seal well in my Foodsaver appliance. Have had some issues with punctures, however, if the food being sealed has any rough edges to it. I have not had these problems with the Foodsaver bags, which I think, seem to be a little more rugged.
