Charmingly off-kilter romance...
I caught this film on TV the other day and, for lack of anything better on, watched it. I found myself plesantly surprised and utterly charmed by the whole thing. Odd twists of fate, and bizarre characters bring the countryside to life. It's a wonderfully romantic comedy, with a really grand cast, and if you liked Joseph Fiennes in "Shakespeare in Love,"...

Should have, could have been better
First off, let me disclose I am a major Joe Fiennes fan, but.... This film needed a good script editor. It ambled off in so many different directions that I wasn't sure what I was watching. It had some great moments and good perfomances...and who couldn't love Joe. Maybe because it was a multi-part tv thing, the editors got lazy. Overall worth a watch.

I caught this film on TV the other day and, for lack of anything better on, watched it. I found myself plesantly surprised and utterly charmed by the whole thing. Odd twists of fate, and bizarre characters bring the countryside to life. It's a wonderfully romantic comedy, with a really grand cast, and if you liked Joseph Fiennes in "Shakespeare in Love," you'll love seeing another side of him as a smitten pig-farmer. Definitely recommended to put a smile on your face.

I saw this movie a few times back when WE was still Romance Classics. What a fun movie! It's not particularly mind-blowing or fabulous, but if you are looking for a random and different romance, this is the movie for you. Joseph Fiennes, not much more to say there.

If you have a free afternoon and want to spent it relaxing and sipping a nice frothy chocolate cup, this is the movie to do so. The downside? The price for the VHS, it's too much for something alredy obsolete, please release it on DVD.....!!!!!
