Here's an important thing to know about wine:

Serving Temperature is one of the factors that affects the taste of wine and
is under your control. Tools that help you control serving temperature add to
your pleasure. Here are two ways to use this tool-


*You put it around a cold bottle to keep it that way. For instance, if you're carrying
white wine to a BYOB or a picnic, the sleeve will keep it at serving temperature.
It seems to last for about an hour and a half if it's wrapped with something insulating.

*You put it over a room-temperature bottle of red wine to cool it down to a proper
serving temp of around 60-65F.


At this low price, anyone who takes bottles of wine to friends or to restaurants should
have one.

We love putting this on our opened bottle of wine to keep it childed through dinner. It works so well, I bought another for my parents!

I really like the idea of this product, and it is a great thing to have around the house. It is wonderful for parties. You can keep you white wine out on the counter so people aren't going in and out of the refrigerator or just assuming that there isn't any white. It is much easier to deal with than an ice bucket and works very well. The product description is a little misleading, as it says "Chills wine bottles in 5 minutes and keeps them cold for 3 hours without ice." This will not chill a room temperature bottle of white wine in 5 minutes. I would also question whether it would keep a cold bottle chilled for as long as 3 hours. That being said, for the price, it's a great item to keep at home in the freezer and works wonderfully to help keep a pre-chilled bottle cold for the duration of a meal, or maybe a little longer.

Have a few of these, great gift idea, keeps wine cool on the counter for at least 2 hours.

I got this because it said it cooled room temperature wine in five minutes. It does NOT do this! Our wine was still warm in five minutes. It was just barely LIGHTLY chilled in ten minutes, but not cold enough for my taste. I didn't want something that kept a previously chilled bottle cold...I wanted it to chill the white wine I forgot to put in the fridge. I'm sure it works great for taking ALREADY cold wine to a picnic, etc. but that is not what it advertises. Therefore I will only give it 2 stars. I'm disappointed.

This little item is invaluable in the summer for picnics. It's also great during the rest of the year when you need a bottle of wine chilled rapidly and held at the right temperature.

I really like this but it doesn't stay cold for very long. I used it to cool a room temperature bottle of wine and took it to a picnic. It cooled the bottle, but not enough. The pack got warm in about 45 minutes. I will have to make sure the bottle is previously cooled in the future or be sure to put it in a cooler with other ice packs. If it stayed cold as long as other ice packs I have, I would give it 5 stars.

It's a great size though and I don't know what a previous reviewer was talking about concerning the need for larger hands. I have no trouble getting it on or off the bottle and it fits in the freezer easily.

I was shopping for a wine chiller (refrigerator) when I found this product, and I'm glad I did! After reading the reviews, it was either the perfect alternative or at worse a great way to keep wine chilled for hours. Well, it is BOTH! Regardless of what some reviewers say, this product WILL bring wine from room temperature down to a nice chill in about 8 minutes, then hold it there 1-2 hours. If it is already chilled, it works for 3 hours. All this without hoarding kitchen space or increasing my electric bill. Maybe other reviewers don't have air conditioning? I'm buying a second for impromptu situations. It also makes a wonderful gift for wine lovers.

You can't beat it for the price. Just put wine in cooler pouch, which should be in freezer for at least couple of hours before, and in about 5-8 minutes your wine is chilled. The vinyard picture on the outside is kinda cool. It componsates for the cheapness.

I love this product! just keep it in your freezer and the gel freezes and you slip it over your wine bottle, or any bottle and it keeps it cold, while set out for serving, or even taking on the road, or down to the beach...... the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I think if they filled it with a little more gel, so it froze a little more solid, it would stay cold a lot longer. (Althought it does stay cold for a couple hours just as it is). That's just my opinion to improve it. The design is beautiful and they have several designs.
