I can understand that most people just open up the box and use these cute little things because I did the same. Although I didn't think it came out as easily as other people said, I can see how it can get lost when someone snaps it by accident. Upon close inspection on the instruction pictures, it appears that I should moisten the suction cup before using. I did, and it was almost impossible to come out. I tried to snap it, but it was just sliding around the glass. I tried to pull it, but it seemed like I probably would have broken it before it came off.

These are super cute. I had high hopes that the kids would be able to use them to label their glasses of whatever they leave all over the place. We debuted these at a party and not one of the things would stick to anyone's glass. The kids actually wanted to use them, but they pop off after minutes. Now, sadly, they are mostly fodder for the vacuum cleaner, as they pop off and fall to the floor.

Even if these would stick to the glasses for more than a few minutes, they stick out from the side of the glass and are easily bumped off. Don't bother.

Cute idea, but like the Halloween party people, they fall off the glass. Even wetting it doesn't help.

Don't forget to use water to make them stick. I didn't use water the first time and mine popped off into the punch bowl.

I love these things-- they are absolutely adorable and people seem to like picking colors for their glasses. They have a tendency to fall off if the glass is wet or if it's not at the right angle. But I don't care. I like them and I'm going to keep using them.

But, if you're thinking of inviting that dude from work with the cold sores all over his mouth, I'd get glass markers that *really* ensure you've got the right glass...

I bought these over the summer when my house was overrun with neighborhood kids, all getting themselves glass after glass of water every day. I assigned every kiddo a creature, and they pretty much kept the same creatures all summer. I was able to cut down my glass washing to 1 per kid per day -- a huge help to me and the environment!

They do *occasionally* fall off of a glass, and that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I find that this is generally avoided by moistening the suction cups before sticking them to the glass.

Still, the kids think they're adorable, and I love how they cut down on my work load without causing me to resort to plastics and disposables.

My girlfriend and I ordered these little guys because we were hosting a Martini party and wanted a way for our guest to distinguish their glasses. There were mostly couples at the party so we ordered two sets and allowed couples to choose their matching characters. For fun we also encouraged everyone to name their characters (I know, I know - you're too cool to do something like that, I get it). Next to the Martinis, these guys were the life of the party.

As far as functionality: They work great!

Fantastic product. Finally a way to mark not just wine glasses but any type of glass! Now the fellas don't feel silly with a charm on the wine glass stem. Plus they don't mix up their tumbler glasses.
