It is unfortunate that vacuware is so hard to come by. Very well made and you won't believe how long food can keep in it. Powdery foods will interfere with the vacuum seal if a particle gets stuck in the valve.

Great for sealing leftovers as it's it's small enough to store within easy reach -- unlike my Foodsaver which is a space hog and is stored in a hall closet! Only drag it out when I have been to Costco and have to seal for freezer storage.

I have a sampler vacuware storage system and would reccomend it to everyone for short term storage in the refrigerator versus in the freezer storage for long term. Food seems to last longer with this system than with other plastic storage pieces. Homemade spaghetti sauce lasts longer and does not stain the pieces. The pump is easy to use and stores easily in a drawer and doesn't take up much room at all. I have had my small set for over a year and shall purchase more pieces as they become available. We use a food saver for freezer storage and vacuware for refrigerator storage. Can't say enough about how great this product is.
