Just when you think you've pigeon-holed Greenskeepers style, they shove themselves in a blender, turn it on puree' and pour out something completely different and delicious than the last thing you heard by them. When I saw the trailer for GTA 4, I was completely enthralled with the song playing in the background. I found myself keeping my TV on G4 in the hopes of catching more and more tidbits of the song/commercial, and after combing many message boards, vague Google searches, even lyrics.com (which was useless btw), I managed to find out that the group was Greenskeepers and the song title was Vagabond. Not a thing like "Lotion". Worlds' apart from "Keep it down". And yet, completely infectious.
Not sure how many groups out there can create the mantra "...and I wish you were dead,..wish you were dead..." and make it not only catchy, but also extremely poignant. Think "JET" meets "Sisters of Mercy" freshly showered.--And at 2:59, it always leaves me wanting more.
