I purchased this CD after hearing the "Vagabundo" and "El Verano" tracks online and realized I'd never heard anything quite like it! The tracks on this well-made album basically fall into two categories: energetic, rhythmic and catchy or smooth, thoughtful ballads. "Marina" is a great remake of a classic, while "Patio" and "El Ritmo Gitano" will get your spirits soaring! Far and away, "El Verano" is the most beautiful, varied and uplifting on the album, which is quite an accomplishment.

The best cut on this CD is "Christo". This particular cut has been played in NYC dance studios as a favorite flamenco piece to dance to. It is my favorite and there is nothing else like it.

Chico, formerly of 'The Gypsie Kings' has outdone himself. This new fusion of great great muscianship and composition on all pices of this album make this one of the albums your collection cannot be without: like Bridge over Troubled waters, Heart's 1st album, etc....this one has it all and varries.

This is one of the best pop flamenco albums I have heard. If you like the Gipsy Kings, you will love this album. Try to find the import version, however, as that version has 15 or 16 tracks compared to 10 tracks on the domestic release.

This is great music, even if you don't understand Spanish! The song "Cristo" is very moving and evocative. The artists have great natural, earthy voices that are perfect with the style of music, guitars, and percussion. I sincerely hope they have another album on its way!

Chico and the Gypsies have far surpassed any of the other artists that I have heard in this category. This is an awesome tape. The song entitled "Cristo" is so provocative, that I could listen to it over and over and over again.

If you like the Gypsy Kings you'll like this group (Chico used to be with the G.K. or so I hear) Wonderful latin guitar and percussion. It makes you want to MOVE!!
