She is on the Health Advisory Board of Family Circle magazine, contributed regularly to YM Magazine, and currently lectures at public schools on sex education. She lives in Chappaqua, New York. Robin Westen is a freelance journalist who writes for numerous national women's magazines. She was an Emmy-Award winning writer for the ABC Television health-oriented show FYI and a staff writer for One Life to Live, as well as a sex advice columnist for Woman's Own magazine. V is for Vagina is an essential for every woman's household. The writing is crisp and snappy, with a fun girlfriend-y tone. The chapters are chock-full of concise information about every question a woman might have about what's going on Down There. From orgasms to STDs, labioplasty to vulvodynia, the authors deliver answers with a sense of humor and without judgment. I loved the Quiz at the beginning that tests your vaginal knowledge, and the fabulous quotes that pepper the pages (gems from Sharon Stone, Anais Nin, Erica Jong, and other strong, smart women). The slim volume is the perfect length, not at all dense or dry. Buy this book for yourself, your partner, your sister, your daughter. And keep it by your bed.
