I LOVE MY GYNECOLOGIST BUT I DON'T WANT TO CALL HER EVERYTIME I HAVE A QUESTION. FINALLY THERE'S AN AFFORDABLE, EASY TO READ BOOK THAT ANSWERS ALL MY QUESTIONS...AND EVEN RAISES SOME I WOULDN'T THINK TO ASK. THIS IS THE BIBLE FOR WOMEN WHO WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING DOWN THERE.

Being a woman and a nurse I thought I knew all there was to know about the "inner door". But was I ever wrong! Robin and Alyssa have done a phenomenal job creating a clear, concise, humorous, informative and thorough guide that is, above all, accessible to all ages and genders. I particularly love the quotes and the fascinating little historical bits. Thank you both!!!

V is for Vagina is an essential for every woman's household. The writing is crisp and snappy, with a fun girlfriend-y tone. The chapters are chock-full of concise information about every question a woman might have about what's going on Down There. From orgasms to STDs, labioplasty to vulvodynia, the authors deliver answers with a sense of humor and without judgment. I loved the Quiz at the beginning that tests your vaginal knowledge, and the fabulous quotes that pepper the pages (gems from Sharon Stone, Anais Nin, Erica Jong, and other strong, smart women). The slim volume is the perfect length, not at all dense or dry. Buy this book for yourself, your partner, your sister, your daughter. And keep it by your bed.

I thought is was very well done. It was informative, nonjudgemental, and funny. It was instructional as well as factual which I think is important in a medical book. It was also very much for women and helped to relieve any fears or reservations you might have about a women's body.

This irreverent, yet respectful account of the "ins and outs" of this mysterious female organ of procreation and pleasure is a must for women but it is also quite insightful for men, helping them to understand the erratic, erotic and often cyclical nature of women. It's a "heads up" for men, giving them a chance to see what they're getting themselves into. The writing is both humorous and factual which includes both an expert account by Dr. Alyssa Dweck and a "lay" person's view by Robin Westen. Both writers shine. Buy this book and take this wonder-full, wilderness trip down South to visit the "great gorge", "love canal" and "salmon canyon" of the world of "V".
