I originally inherited an ancient can of this remarkable stuff in the basement of our house when we bought it. For many more years, it sat in a dark corner until one day I decided to see what it could do. I applied it by brush to the underside of a large old mower deck that I'd just sandblasted and restored. I reapplied it again at the end of its first season in use. To this day, many years later, that deck remains clean and grass-free underneath.

When I'd finally used up that old can, I seriously wondered if I'd be able to find such a product again. It was old, for one thing, but it also worked. Which to me meant it has probably long since been outlawed.

Had I been left to find it locally, that suspicion would've been affirmed. No one around here stocks it, though some old-timers do remember it. Thanks to Amazon, you and I are able to continue enjoying the benefits of this time-honored product. Put it on a shovel and see it shine! Put it on a snow shovel and watch the snow glide right off.

More people should become familiar with this product. It STOPS rust completely. Completely seals wood unlike anything else on the market. Use with oil paint and it leaves a patent leather shine finish.

I have been using VAL-OIL for years but recently I have not been able to locate anyone handling it.
Although it cost me much more than I was paying, I was happy to find it available.

Great product for sealing slate in my hallway. Always looks great and shiny. Wish I could find another product like this.

I've used the item to seal heating pipes/ radiators in a home. A rep at local hardware store assured me it is heat resistant. I want to make sure it won't exude smells or toxic gases when it's heated. Does anyone know?
