Eye Witness trilogy
Three women have to give up their identites when they witness the same murder. Now they have to return to New Orleans to testify again. The convicted man has been granted a retrial. The Valentine Hostage by Dawn Stewardson Harlequin Intrigue #406 - February 1997 Ben DeCarlo's been framed for murder and he's desperate to prove it. His retrial results in another guilty verdict. In his escape from custody at the courthouse, he kidnaps Monique as part of his disguise. It isn't until later that her realizes that Monique is one of the eye witnesses that convicted him. The more time Monique spends with Ben, she realizes that he couldn't be the man who committed the murders. Once she's convinced Ben that she won't turn him in, they start the hunt for the truth.
