The fact that there is padding between the stitched leather at the back of the belt means it is not legal for powerlifting competition (in the organization I lift in). For general lifting though, it's pretty good - but not the best I've ever used. If I were to buy a belt again, I'd buy one that is 4" wide all the way around.

good back support ... well made (stitching etc.) ... good quality will last years and years

back has padding that is nice.

tighten up and push ... excellent for squats, military press, bench, etc...

TIP: don't use it unless you are going HEAVY (max or close to your max) - this way you allow your back muscles to strengthen and using the belt only to prevent injuries.

anyway, good product and happy with it.

This belt is three times as comfortable as what's marketed as a back brace - that has plastic spines and closes with Velcro. It offers far better support for the lower back and when you sit down the foam padding is great. Also, it is not huge in size, so you can wear it under a jacket.
This is second one we have purchased for this use. The last one lasted more than a year, so it was worth every penny.

This belt is of high quality and I recommend it without reservation. If you need a belt this ones for you.

Bought this for my son who is a gym rat and he loves it as he is slim and muscular so it fits him perfectly. Would highly recommend it.

Belt was brand new as advertised, fit nicely, very durable and comfortable, and I've noticed that my lower back pain has been minimal to none!

I ordered this belt for someone who has a large waist. The belts in the store were not large enough. This belt was a perfect fit and is well constructed. It provides a great deal of support and offers relief from back pain.

For lifting heavy weights, a back support belt is a must. This belt fits the back squarely and comfortably. I highly recommend it to bodybuilders and gym enthusiasts who does alot of upper body exercises. I also use it at home when I require heavy lifting of furniture or A/V equipment.

I bought this when I started doing heavy, compound lifts. I realized that I don't need it. By using the belt it allows your core muscles to "take a break." I don't want them to take a break. My core muscles create their own belt.

However, if you are in the market for a belt, or feel you need one, this one seems well constructed. Mine just hands from a hook on my wall. It is a decoration at this point.
