On 2/2007 I ordered a set of these for my 2004 Kia Sedona EX which uses 24" and a set for my 98 Honda CRV 19" and 20" for both driver's and passenger's sides. I did not buy them from Amazon just because another well known automotive/tire website was offering the "buy-one-get-one free" deal so a no-brainer there. I bought a set of these windshield wipers for my wifes car because every other wiper I had ever purchased for her car (including the full silicon bosch ones which actually cost a few dollars more than these) would chatter across the windshield. I had seen these wipers on HGTV's "I Want That!" show and decided to give them a try. The specific review information in regards to function, etc... is below:

* Installation: simple and easy (of course this is pretty standard for all new wipers)
* Noise: near zero, these are the quietest wipers I have ever had on a vehicle
* Function in light rain: perfect, even with just a little bit of water on the window these work perfectly, unlike most wipers
* Function in heavy rain: perfect, these wipers remove the water perfectly with no streaks and work flawlessly even in a torrential downpour (I live in Washington state by the way)
* Function with frost: extremely well, these actually remove most of the frost off the window whereas most wipers will just slide over it
* Function in snow: perfect, these wipers remove snow from your window as easily and cleanly as they remove water
* Resilience to different seasons: Absolutely amazing, even in California heat for three months and then back into Washington in the rainy season, they still work just as perfect as when they were first put on the car

Overall, these windshield wipers are the best you can put on your car. They function flawlessly, they look great, they won't fail you. I have already recommended these to all of my friends and they have switched over to them with the exact same results. If you are going to buy one set of wipers for your car, buy these.

This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
The wiper blades worked as described, making contact all the way through the "wiping" path and leaving no water residue at all. They seem to be well constructed and make no noise even at 90mph. Installing them was a breeze (10 minutes tops for both vehicles).

You must be asking if I have no complains then why the 3 star rating. I researched these through several websites and forums before investing almost more than $60 in windshield wipers. I must admitt that I'm the type of guy that usually buys a $12 set but I decided to give these a try after viewing a fare share of positive reviews.

It seems to me that there's a pattern here. Most buyers that posted pos. reviews are the ones that ordered the longer blade ( judging by the type of vechicle mentioned)...we're talking about 22" and longer while the ones with the so so or neg. reviews ordered shorter ones (20" and below) and so here's the reason for my 3 star. My KIA uses 24" but my CRV uses 20" on the driver's and 18" on the pass. respectevely. On my CRV the driver's side fits just fine and performs almost as well as the 24s on my KIA. However the 18" doesn't make contact with the windshiled on a 2" strecth on the outter edge. I have found similar claims in forums and reviews. As far as how they withstand extreme weather I only have found through reviews that they fare well in cold weather. I live in Yuma, AZ so I won't be able to tell you how they last in 120 degree weather until the summer hits.

Conclusion: This is a nice product that performs highly when there's a proper fit. It's aesthetically pleasing and its cost is not exorbitant like other wipers in its class, counting that you get the buy 1 get 1 free deal which I have seen advertised 3 different times already. Lasting performance is TBD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good stylish wipers, March 2, 2009
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
I got these wiper blades and put them on. The next day it snowed out of nowhere. I thought, oh no, the blades will stick or not push the snow off. Well amazingly even with quite a bit of snow and ice on the windshield they cleared the windshield in a matter of moments. My family has other brands on their cars that are similar, but I think these are more stylish and work at least as good if not better. Well worth the price, I normally won't buy blades that cost more than $8. Very happy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not live up to its hype, May 28, 2009
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
Installation was easy. Performance is good. But after a few weeks, the wiper started to jump across the windshield rather than slide across smoothly, and this was in pouring rain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great blade, but not for winter., January 28, 2009
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
I purchased these blades for my vehicle because all the other ones left streaks and didn't clean the window like they should.

The Valeo blade was awesome in the rain and stuck to the windshield like glue on the freeway (70-80mph).

This blade is very quiet...almost silent while gliding across the windshield and I've never heard that annoying scraping noise with these blades.

The only downside is that these blades are not ideal in the winter if your vehicle is covered in frost or snow. (It might be a different story if you park your vehicle inside at night.) When trying to clear the frost/light snow in the mornings the blades only cleared maybe 1/2 of the stuff that was in its path. They completely froze...and these blades are rated "all season."

I ended up putting my old blades back on for the winter and will replace with the Valeo blades once it warms up.

Overall, I think these blades are a great value. They work extremely well in the right conditions and allow you to actually see out of your windshield when it is raining hard.

3.0 out of 5 stars Average blade, not worth the premium price, March 20, 2006
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
I purchased these for a 2002 Olds Aurora. These were more expensive than average but felt the desire to "upgrade" to a nicer blade. On the positive side, they do install very easily. Unfortunately, the blade doesn't conform to the windshield as much as you might think - the last 2 inches of the passenger side blade didn't touch the glass until the blade was 6-8 inches up from the at-rest position. This left an unwiped spot down low on the glass - not enough to cause concern but also not what I'd expect from a premium priced blade. I tried them only for one day; it snowed about 1-2 inches. The blades picked up water/snow at the end of each travel and smeared across the glass. I never had a full cleared windshield for the 6 minute test drive. They do provide a slight improvement in your view because of their lower profile, but wipers are there to clean the glass! I just didn't see anything "ultimate" about these. I feel better having gone back to standard blades that cost less and perform equal or slightly better, as well as wiping *all* of the glass.

2.0 out of 5 stars not worth it., July 15, 2006

AA "AA" (Brooklyn, NY United States) - See all my reviews

does not work on my g35. The blade does not have a full and even contact with the glass as it only has effectively one point of contact, where it attaches to the arm. The top edge on my car does not clean and leaves about 2 inches. I also wrote a review for 18" (unfortunately I bought both)

2.0 out of 5 stars VALEO WIPER BLADES, January 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
I PUT THE WIPER BLADES ON MY 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO WORKS GREAT IN THE RAIN, THERE IS A CLEAN WIPE. NOT USED YET WITH FROST, SNOW, OR ICE ON WINDSHIELD. THE PART THAT IS NOT GREAT IS THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER DOES NOT CONTOUR TO THE WINDSHIELD, LEAVING 3 INCHES AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT AND NARROWING DOWN TO 1 INCH AT THE TOP OF WINDSHIELD THAT IT DOES NOT EVEN TOUCH. I SWITCHED THE WIPERS BUT IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE. THESE ARE EXPENSIVE WIPERS, BUT AMAZON HAD THE BEST PRICE. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD FIT PERFECT OR THE MANUFACTURE WOULD SAY NOT FOR THIS MODEL TRUCK. THANKS AMAZON FOR YUOR GREAT PRICES, FREE SHIPPING ON MUST ITEMS, AND NO TAX UNTIL I BELIEVE 2015 WHEN YOU WILL HAVE TO START CHARGING TAX HERE IN TN.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Wipers, December 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Valeo 900-22-1B All-Season ULTIMATE Wiper Blade - 22" (Misc.)
I've been using a set of these high quality wipers for over six years in Colorado. I'm only now buying my first replacement set to go with a new windshield. The existing wipers still work well, but have a few very small nicks (leading to minimal streaking only where nicked) from when I've tried removing overnight ice buildup with them instead of using an ice scraper as I should have.

They may be more expensive up front, but over the years have been more economical than replacing cheap wipers every season.
