What the description of this ball doesn't tell you is that 55m is for people 5' to 5'3". I'm 5'6", so it's a bit small for me. However, the ball itself, is very sturdy and will hold weight up to 330 lbs (also, not mentioned in the description). I didn't have any trouble with the pump. While taking the ball to the gas station and filling it up would have been quick, I just considered manually inflating the ball as additional exercise. The hand pump works well and there's a tape measure so you know exactly how far to blow up. There's a slight plastic smell at first, but it goes away by the time the ball is blown up. The wrinkling of the ball will go away within the first 24 hours it's blown up. I'm keeping this smaller ball to do Pilate exercises with and getting a larger ball for core work. Really, the reason why I'm only giving this 4 stars is because the description is not complete enough to allow someone to make the proper purchase in the first place. The quality of the ball is great.

I love this ball and it gets me off the couch. I am 80 years old and can do most of the beginning exercises except the walk back onto the ball. Walking down is easy and truly stretches the back. The pump was very easy for me to use. The ball has held its air superbly. It also serves me to reach overhead, forward, side to side and backward, thus; stretching ever muscle. The walk the ball up the wall serves not only the back but the legs. I recommend this ball highly!

This is nothing special, but it's just what I wanted for a good price. It even comes with a DVD with a few ideas for exercises, as well as a replacement plug and a measuring tape to make sure you don't over- or underinflate it. I'm 5'1" and it's almost too big for me. I'm not sure that a smaller one would have been better, but this works well enough. I really enjoy the added difficulty it provides for my exercising.

I am 5'2" and had been using a 65cm ball for years, which was much too large for my size. After getting a recommendation for a 55cm ball, I searched Amazon and was pleased to find that this 55cm ball was such a pretty color. It is puncture resistant and inflated quickly with the included pump. If you are shorter in stature, you will find this ball much more comfortable as an addition to your workout than the larger balls out there.

The ball works great. My only complaint is that Amazon clearly stated that the ball is lavender and it is actually blue. Unfortunately, I hate the color blue. The photo is extremely misleading and is so far from the actual color it cannot even be used as an approximation.

I wanted a ball that would be firm when inflated to the proper circumference and hold its air from day to day. I wanted it to be easy to inflate. I wanted it to feel sturdy and give me confidence that it will not burst and send me sprawling. This one fits the bill. The inflation device sent with this ball worked easily and quickly, with no hassles. There was a small plastic "fork" included that makes it easy to remove the plug when needed. I have routines to do prescribed by my physical therapist so I've not yet used the CD, but look forward to adding new things when I'm given the go ahead. The price of this package is quite reasonable for the quality of the products provided. I'm 5'3" and this ball fits me. I'm retired (OK, read "old"). I am dealing with back injuries, and core strength issues. The ball exercises prescribed by my therapist are easy and fun to do, feel more like play than work, and really do the job. Amazon shipped it free along with another item, and everthing came promptly. Great internet buying experience!

This ball is ok, but it is pretty difficult to inflate it as far as I would like...so consequently it is a bit small. I would have liked a slightly bigger ball for my 5'2" height...

I am very pleased with this ball. It feels very sturdy. The only thing that bothers me is the size, it feels a little too small. I went by the height guidelines in the description and as I am 5'3'' I bought this ball. I wish had purchased the larger size. Other than that this is a great ball.
