5.0 out of 5 stars A Hip-Saver
I have bought this for my pregnancy. There are a zillion ways to use the ball. It's particularly good for rest or for opening up your hips when the muscles are tight. This ball is super strong. I've had a friend who is 215lbs use it too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't exactly burst but
This ball was a good size for me, I'm 5'9. It was a very bright pink, looked like a massive pink gumball on my floor.
It lasted a month before my cat seemingly punctured it with a claw and it flattened. So burst resistant? Perhaps. Claw resistant? Not so much. Perhaps this is not a flaw in the design, any other ball MAY of deflated under this circumstance; however,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ball of steel, September 9, 2008

Not only do I put my entire body weight on this big pink ball, but so do my kids and my wife. Sometimes at the same time. And our aussie likes to chew and chase and claw the ball for exercise. As well as leaping on top of the ball and jumping off of it. This thing has been indestructable for 2 months so far. Well worth the price.

The dogs finally popped it after 11 months... I loved stretching on that thing. Getting a new one today. August 10, 2009

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic deal!, August 21, 2008

This is a fantastic deal. The ball is very sturdy and supports a lot of weight. It comes with the pump and a workout video too. And the workout video had great exercises on it, ones I had never thought to even do. I just got it to stretch out my back (which it works perfectly for), but the workout exercises are an added bonus. I wasn't expecting such high quality at this price, but this really is a great ball and value deal.

It lasted a month before my cat seemingly punctured it with a claw and it flattened. So burst resistant? Perhaps. Claw resistant? Not so much. Perhaps this is not a flaw in the design, any other ball MAY of deflated under this circumstance; however, my Gold's Gym ball from Walmart (not a big fan of wallyworld merchandice overall) has outlasted the puncture wounds. I've had it a couple years.
If you have a cat you may as well get the non-bursting ball, if it's cheaper.
The one I got came with a DVD and it was rather pointless for me, which means I am either very fit and my mobility is fantastic, or it's just a lousy DVD. For my ego, I'll go with the first option.

2.0 out of 5 stars The picture is flawed, March 16, 2009
This review is from: Valeo Burst Resistant 65cm Body Ball (Pink) (Sports)
When I ordered this, I thought it was going to be exactly how it was in the picture. I don't like the material it's made out of, it's like bubbly (not sure how to describe it, but it's not shiny like in the picture), and doesn't feel very durable. Because of the material, it's very stretchy and not too firm even though it was inflated all the way. I decided to buy another ball from a different company, and it was much firmer and was made out of smooth, thick material. I'm not sure if it's because it's supposed to be burst resistant, but I can see how this ball can be punctured easily. I'm giving this 2 stars rather than 1 because it's probably ok for doing exercises, but if you want something that's firm and will last longer, go with another brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Seat, February 9, 2009

I love this ball - am sitting on it as I type. I only rated it 4 stars because the color is closer to pepto bismol than the bubble gum pink it appears on my computer screen. Be patient in pumping it up, and you will be fine. Oh, and I'm 5'2". I probably could have used the 55 cm instead, but the 65 cm works.

5.0 out of 5 stars a workout to inflate the ball, September 30, 2008

This ball works great.

The only advice I have is that it took me three days to inflate up the ball (with the manual pump that they provided). It's easier to inflate the ball if there's 2 people to coordinate putting the plug in before air leaks out.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ours Burst After a Year.., September 14, 2008
By
This review is from: Valeo Burst Resistant 65cm Body Ball (Pink) (Sports)
I used this ball for about one year.. from the middle of my pregnancy until my son was nearly six months old. The ball was fantastic.. until it burst. My husband was bouncing our son to sleep, something our baby has loved since birth, and the ball suddenly burst and they both fell to the floor. That being said, my husband weighs 230 pounds and the ball may have been a bit underinflated. I was very careful to follow the instructions when I initially filled it and I'd been periodically checking to make sure it was still inflated enough, but I think it was probably a little too soft for my husband's girth.

So I'd recommend this ball with reservations. It's really cute and will withstand heavy daily use for a good long time, but be absolutely certain that you check the inflation of it regularly. You don't want it overinflated OR underinflated. If you can keep the right amount of air in it, it's a terrific ball.

Note: This ball was actually recalled at some point, I believe because people were overinflating it and the instructions weren't clear enough about that. Make sure to follow the inflation instructions properly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for exercising!, August 11, 2008

This item is just what I was looking for. It's not too big but not too small. I am around 5'1" and I searched to find the right size exercise ball but kept finding different tips. How did I finally decide on this? I loved the color! But it ended up being perfect! When inflated it is just the right resistance, not too firm but not too soft that I feel like I am sinking in. The only thing I had a problem with is I had to add air a few times until I found the right amount, but I think that is going to happen to everyone who is filling up a ball the first time. Overall this is exactly what I was looking for! I would recommend this for anyone looking for a great exercise ball!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny!!!, July 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I bought this for my wife who does lots of differant kinds of workouts. This is her first shot at using a ball. It was FUNNY as all heck watching her try to learn to use it. It reminded me of watching my children roll around on the floor uncontrollably when they were babies.

Now, I say that in jest, because using a ball takes alot of practice, and makes you use stabilizer muscles you never thought you had. You grow up thinking you have a good sense of balance.... then you try this thing in a real workout. haha. Overall, she loves it, and is worth the price paid.
