This review is from: Valeo VCL Competition Classic 4-Inch Lifting Belt (Sports)
I have owned Valeo belts for 20 years and they have been the best. They are now made overseas to such poor quality that I would not purchase one again. This one broke the initial time I used it. The tightening ring was always the weak link in the past, but it would last for years. This ring broke the first time I tightened the belt. I am now looking at other brands.

I suffer from lower back pains especially when doing heavy lifting. This belt is great for helping with this problem. Its the perfect width, very comfortable to wear and the locking is very strong. Bought through amazom and the belt was excatly as described.

I really like the belt for the stability it offers in the squat, dead lift, jerk, front squat and OH squat. Plus, its really easy to make sure the belt is tight and secure with slipping, like I've found with the Velcro only belt. However, if you are cleaning and snatching and pulling the bar really close to you, it can hit the buckle. This has only happened once to me so far, but it does throw your lift off. You could try the Velcro only Valeo belt (which I've used before and liked). The only thing about the no-buckle belt is that the plastic pieces can break. So I'd recommend the belt with the buckle for most lifts, and the other one for some lifts.

I purchased this to help with some post baby workouts - the label that comes with the product indicates that it is made with material that is linked to cancer, birth defects and reproductive harm....BACK IT GOES.

Excellent belt for weightlifting and powerlifting. I chose this belt instead of a 6-inch variety due to weightlifting competition specifications. It is continuously adjustable, stays locked in well, and provides excellent core support.

This is not a lady's belt,

I had a great belt from Valeo - I'm guessing it was 3 inches wide. I lost it and ordered the smallest one I could find from them. This appears to be a men's small, and is huge on me. If I cinch it as far as it will go, it fits, but I can't tuck the excess part under the belt loop. It also is very stiff.I'm still looking for a woman's belt. |
