This item is going back and I'm ordering the standard high-density black foam roller. I rolled out on this for about 15 minutes and could already tell that I was going to end up with an hourglass shaped roller in a week or so. I have very tight IT bands and have to spend a lot of time on the roller; if you are a light user, this might work for you but if you're using it for any significant amount of time, go with the standard, slightly more expensive high density roller.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and I am experiencing less pain, it is light but dense enough that I can really roll out the knots in my legs.

Love it love it love it. Starting using it in connection with my massage therapy practice, recommend it to every client who wants to enhance their stretching, even use it on my back/spine! Highly effective, and definitely worth the tiny amount of space it takes up. Started using it with my Pilates exercises too.

If you're shopping for a foam roller, get this 18" length instead of 12". Much more versatile and easy to position your body on. This item is dense enough that it doesn't seem as though it's going to flatten in the middle like an hourglass, as the rollers at my gym have done.

Bought this item for use while doing floor exercises. It is proving to be very durable and represents great value for the price.

This foam roller is a good product as foam rollers go. Unfortunately, I realized half-way into my therapy that it didn't really help my condition (it was my IT band, but it was only aggravated by what is called runner's hip). So, I changed up my therapy routine to more stretches and less roller. This might be beneficial for those who need to stretch the IT band, but probably won't help those with runner's hip. A massage therapist recommended I buy a foam roller to help with some shoulder and upper arm pain I was having. When I went to several of the local stores such as Walmart and Shopko, they had the same item but it was almost $14.00 more compared to Amazon's cost. I also ordered a gift for my granddaugher so with my order being more than $25 I was able to get the free shipping. This item works wonderful.

This roller dented in the middle the FIRST time I used it and I am 130lbs. It should be able to support more weight than that as I really bought it for my husband and my 6.5" brother uses one that is still in tact. My brother's tube is black and he tells me that the color has something to do with the density of the roller. The black ones are solid, these blue ones were too soft for me. it didn't FEEL soft, but the dent is the evidence.
