5.0 out of 5 stars it works
This product adds support and retains warmth in the elbow. I'm average sized and the product fits perfectly. If you have bigger arms than the average guy you might consider looking for an extra large.

1.0 out of 5 stars Susceptible to tearing
I bought this product a while ago and after using it consistently for a few weeks (3 or 4 days a week for 1.5 hours), the material within began to tear just beneath my bicep. The tear gradually increased as the weeks went on, to the point where the sleeve no longer performed as intended. I recently purchased a Mueller Elbow Sleeve, Neoprene, Black, Medium in X-Large...

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful but Itches Too, June 9, 2011

Feels nice on your arm and helps with tennis elbow, or in my case, grappling elbow. But if you start sweating a little, the semi-furry inside material (blue) tends to make you itch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it should, March 21, 2011

14 yr old son plays several sports, lifts weights, bigger than normal size (5'8") but not huge. Elbow diameter measures 10.5". Bought the large size, fits a little bit loose but not bad. Ideally, it would be just a tad tighter but if we went to medium it would be too tight. This doesn't slip though, offers some compression and a good amount of heat. Bought to alleviate arm pain inside of the elbow and he has no problems at all throwing a baseball (he's not pitching though) while wearing this, which he does without wearing it.

I bought this product a while ago and after using it consistently for a few weeks (3 or 4 days a week for 1.5 hours), the material within began to tear just beneath my bicep. The tear gradually increased as the weeks went on, to the point where the sleeve no longer performed as intended. I recently purchased a Mueller Elbow Sleeve, Neoprene, Black, Medium in X-Large (same size I had in the Valeo brand) and it is working well. The Mueller sleeve is more snug and the seams seem to have sufficient stitching to keep from coming loose. With both sleeves being offered at nearly the same price, I would elect to go with the Mueller brand.

Tendonitis is creeping in and this brace is a godsend, tried a different brand but it was too tight.Actually using this brace as first layer then other tighter brace over that sometimes helps.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not that good, May 6, 2011

I use this sleeve for my jiujitsu training and it's far from perfect. The two things that I don't like about this is that it usually ends up slipping down when wearing my gi jacket (the inner fabric lacks "stickiness"). The other thing is that that inner fabric sometimes leaves some small particles of thread on my elbow.

I bought my husband an elbow brace at the drugstore and regretted it. So, I logged onto Amazon and read the reviews here. This brace looked like it might be combined with the model I bought at the drugstore to provide enough support. It worked okay, not great and not bad, with the other brace. On its own, it wouldn't have been enough.

I also ordered another type of armband that did very well. My husband has relied more on that other armband than this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Confortable, but not tight enough, December 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am an average to above average guy when it comes to arm size. I bought the large and although it fits well and is very comfortable, it's not really tight enough to provide the support I need. Granted, if I got a smaller size I think it would be too tight. I think it's more for keeping the area warm and providing some support for everyday use. I wanted it to provide support for throwing footballs, which it can't. If I wear this and one of the strap type elbow braces like the Futuro, it's great. i would recommend this for recovery or everyday support.

4.0 out of 5 stars elbow support, November 21, 2010

The elbow support is comfortable, functional, and dry. It has a very nice interior that removes all the perspiration. The only criticism I would offer is it needs to be about one inch longer.
