The installation literally took 60 seconds. I had no idea what size to buy, but the Amazon product selector showed me exactly what I needed. Though I have not yet used them in snow, I can say they perform wonderfully in rain, light or heavy. I installed them right before a trip and went through rain and heavy mist. It did such a good job, my windshield looked invisible. No streaking, no awful noises. Great!

This is my first review on Amazon.com. I felt compelled to write a review to warn people of my experiences twice with these blades on separate days.

When I bought the blades it was a buy one get one free sale on Amazon. Since my old blades weren't working out I decides to buy them based on most of the positive reviews I've read here. There was one review by Richard Hamilton (still available here) that mentioned the blades flew off during light rain. Since he was the only one to mention this I thought it must have been put on wrong.

A little over a month after I put it on, I was driving on the highway through a heavy rainstorm with strong winds when the wipers on the passenger side flew off. Since I was on the highway I couldn't stop so i continued on till a available pit stop was available. By then my empty wiper handles scratched a groove on part of my windshield. Since the weather was so unusual I attributed that to the extreme weather condition that day.

Today, a few months after the first incident, the one on the driver side also broke off in the rain. This time though, there was no heavy wind and it was light rain. Again I was on the highway but this time I was made half blind because without the wipers on the driver's side, I could barely see what was ahead. Luckily my friend's car was just in front, and between the both of us driving slowly, me following his tail light, and a bit of luck, we got off the highway stopped at the nearest gas stop where I was able to replace the lost wiper with a new one. BUT THIS COULD EASILY HAVE ENDED UP WITH AN ACCIDENT.

I believe the reason that the wipers comes off that easily is because there is no top locking mechanism to hold the wipers in place properly.

These installed very easily. They seem very secure. They wipe without any streaks which I think is the result of the "1500 pressure points" they proudly advertise. I'll wait to see how they hold up with ice on the windshield and overall durability. I have a feeling consumer reports had it right though that really the most important thing is to change them (or any wiper brand) every 6 months for the best results. The sizing recommendation for my acura tl was correct.

This product does not fit 2004 audi allroad as amazon says it does. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the actual blades

Had this since Aug. and they been good.
Now that is winter and temp below 32 I can say they are good and they ends have not frozen and crapped out like other reviews (yet).

The Valeo Gen2 bracketless blades work fine on the driver side windshield and rear window, no better than the $8.50 bracketed rain-x wipers. On the passenger side the last 2.5 to 3 inches of the wiper blade doesn't make contact with the windshield until the wiper arm is 1/3 of the way up the windshield.

I have had these blades on my Chevy Silverado and Honda Odyssey for the last 2 months. They seem to be holding up ok but I can see wear and they have started to streak. I don't beleive these blades will last any longer than cheaper bracket blades. I will admit they do accumulate less ice build up when driving in snow and ice conditions. I guess if you live way up North it would make a difference but living in the middle of the country where we may get snow 2 to 3 times a year I can't justify the cost difference especially since the last 2.5 to 3 inches of the passenger side blades don't make contact with the windshield until the wiper arm is 1/3 of the way up the windshield.

Update 5/5/2011
I just wanted to give an update on these wiper blades and reverse what I have said earlier about not believing these blades woud last... To my suprise it is now May 5th 2011 and these blades are still going strong!!!! My vehicles are garage kept and are only out in the elements to drive and are parked outside only when shopping, so I may not be the typical auto owner. Now having said this these wipers have performed great for well over 1.5 years, even though garage kept I used to have to replace my OEM wipers every 6 months so these blades have lasted 3 times as long and they are still going strong. I highly recommend these wiper blades you can't go wrong with these.

This is a review of the Valeo U-22 Gen 2 Bracketless Wiper Blade.
I have used this blade for several weeks and believe that this is a great blade. The fit for my Audi A6 y2000 is very good-not quite the perfect fit but very close. The blade was exceptionally easy to install. This is fortunate since there are no directions.

During a rain the blade sweeps across the windshield effortlessly. There is no noise nor blade chatter. The arc of the blades' sweep results in a perfectly cleared glass. I was concerned about the lack of a wind-foil on the driver's side, but there was no blade lift while driving at 65 mph during a rainstorm.

My recommendataion to Valeo is to trim down the attachment bracket a lot so that the blade appears integrated with the wiper arm.
The appearance is a bit ugly.

I hope that the fine quality of the blade endures as long as the previous Teflon blade that it replaces. I actually got several years use with the Teflon blades; and only replaced them because they were getting noisy (still cleared rain from the glass perfectly, however). To make full-disclosure, however, the car was kept out of the sun and inclement weather most of the time.
