I think this book, as the others, were Awesome! I've been really into Unicorns and this just tops the cake. It's got fantacy, adventure and a little comedy also. I exceede the reading age, but these books have such a good story line I'm excited for the rest of the series to get printed.

Valley of Fear,

The Unicorns of Balinor is a very good example of protagonist/antagonist books. Foreshadowing is also displayed very well. I remember when I read it for the first time two years ago, I was kept on the edge of my seat because the story line is very addicting and suspenseful. It's hard not to imagine your self in a woodland watching the old mare of the mountian appear or carefully making your way across the fiery feild (in order to recliam the royal septer from the evil shifter). True, the book ends very abruptly, but that is why it is in a series. This is not; however, a series you can read out of order. Trust me, I have tried to do that. It doesn't work.

Are you looking for a good book that is beautiful and peaceful? Do you need a book that must have adventure or even lead to death? That humans can talk to animals? Is this the book you want? Well if it is then here's a book that will inspire you! The Unicorns of Balinor Valley of Fear by Mary Stanton. Arianna, Princess of Balinor, is trying to find her parents the King and Queen and her two Brothers the princes. The land they rule is a peaceful valley where Unicorns live. The Celestial Unicorns to be exact. Humans talk to the animals and even to the cows! Some of the unicorns work for the humans and they don't need to be steered or anything. If you say where you need to go, they go. This book really inspired me because it has adventure in it. Fore example, there is a hero named Princess Arianna and her horse Chase, then there's Lori. She doesn't like to do every thing that Arianna wants Lori to do. They argue but then Lori Ari: "You. Will. Do. As. I. Say. I've agreed to your terms, Lori. Now listen to mine...."

From a 13 year old fan,

I may be thirteen, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy books below my level. The only reason I rated this four stars was because I think the stories could have been longer. I have read the whole series and loved them. I hope a ninth book come out because there are so many things about Ari's parents we don't know about yet. I have read them many times and do so whenever I need to read a good book.

My 9 year-old fell in love with this series, and I was able to find all of the books thanks to Amazon.com. I had to purchase from several sellers, but it was worth it. My daughter has read the entire series through twice, and my 11 year-old is reading them as well.
