This is a fine flag. It's very well made. As the product description says all the stripes are individually stitched (double stitched actually). The colors are vibrant. I've had several flags with a similar method for attaching to the flag pole and they all failed rather quickly. This flag however uses a leather loop sewn into the flag itself and that's what will make this flag last a long time. Most other flags have a plastic loop that hooks the flag to the pole and these fail very quickly. I noticed come mild criticism due to a white tag (not a label) on the flag. It is there but it isn't very noticeable even when fairly close. And if you were determined to remove it, an exacto knife or any other sharp instrument would allow it to trimmed off.
I gave this flag 5 stars because I am very satisfied with it. But one thing buyers should know is that the flag does not come with a 13 position bracket that requires 4 screws, it comes with a white two position nylon bracket. That is great for flying the flag at 45 degrees or 90 degrees. Amazon should update this info.
You should be quite happy with this flag.

Very nice flag, but come on, why not make the pole and bracket in the States as well? I think at least on the purchase of the American Flag, I should not fund the Chinese military.
Other issue I have with the flag is that the advertisement tag is obnoxiously large, and not removeable. A 1" x 2 1/2" logo tag in white stands out like a sore thumb against the blue.
However it is a nice flag and has a good feel. The sewn stripes and embroidered stars do give it some texture.

This is a beautifully crafted flag with rich colors and nicely embroidered stars. The pole is sturdy and handsome and the flag flies gracefully in the breeze and hangs nicely when there is no breeze. I am very pleased with this purchase indeed.

I originally started to order a different American flag on Amazon and noticed that was made in China. It seems that this most basic bit of Americana should be purchased from a company that actually makes them here in the USA.

The flag itself seems well made. The Stars are sewn rather than screened. I like the spinning type of pole. that prevents the flag from wrapping itself up. I want to see "Old Glory" unfurled and flowing in the wind not wrapped up around a pole. This style pole works perfectly.

What I'm not crazy about is the quality of the pole was not very good. It had lots of small knot holes and was not straight.

The bracket that the flag came with is not the one pictured. (see my pictures in customer photos) It is not adjustable and is made in China.

I ended up purchasing Valley Forge 1-Inch Nickel Flag Bracket and I'm very happy with the quality and the look of this flag bracket. I feel it is reasonably priced for the quality. It is also good looking and a perfect fit for this flag kit.

I fly the flag every morning and take it down every night. So far the things that originally bothered me are not really a problem.

Please contact your local Boy Scout Troop for proper retirement of old, faded or tattered flags.

The flag is sewn nicely, but of thinner nylon than expected. The tag is not a big problem as some reviewers complain. Just pull the tag off, it's paper and sewn into a seam. The pole is really sad, it's two piece and the pieces dont fit together very well. Valley Forge should be embarrassed by the pole and bracket, which were made in China. I suggest buying the flag individually (see other Valley Forge products link by item title) and getting a decent pole.

After doing quite some research to find a high-quality, durable, and most importantly, worthy American flag-- I finally went with this flag. I read the reviews to find overwhelmingly positive remarks. The negative remarks concerned the fact that earlier-made brackets for this flag were, wait for it... Made in China! (This would be a dealbreaker for me. It's fine to buy lots of things made in China; but purchasing an American flag or any of its components that were made in China is simply unacceptable. I trusted that by the time I received my flag, Valley Forge would have corrected this embarrassing snafu.

Indeed, Valley Forge has CORRECTED this issue and the bracket that now comes with this flag is proudly stamped MADE IN U.S.A. It is an excellent value, the bracket is very sturdy and easy to install, and most importantly, the flag itself is strikingly beautiful and well-made.

Our flag is displayed on the front of our house, not with the anchors that came with the bracket, but rather concrete anchors easily found at your local hardware store (Our house is brick). One can also find a relatively inexpensive LED solar spotlight to make sure this flag is never in the dark.

The plastic mountiong bracket broke on a windy day. We had gusts up to 40 MPH. The mounting bracket sheared off sideways. I was surprised since the mounting bracket looked strong enough. This is the first mounting bracket that failed in all the years we have been flying the American flag. The rest of the material,flag pole etc are perfect.

I am very pleased with the shipping service....free....I wasn't sure I would have it by July 4th. But, it came in plenty of time. The quality seems fine. I'll know more after it is flying for a month or so. There are only 2 positions for flag pole to fit into, not as stated. The embroidered stars are very nice. Almost gives a 3D effect.

Valley Forge makes a very good "30"X50" US Nylon flag with sewn stripes & embroidered stars with 5' wood pole banner Kit with bracket." The flag is very well stitched and when you feel the fabric you can tell Valley Forge put a good amount of care into manufacturing this flag. Just as another reviewer notes the colors ARE vibrant. The dimensions of the flag are such that people can easily see them from a reasonable distance; and the wooden pole banner is a light shade of wood that gives it a very nice touch.

I don't know why Amazon indicates that this flag can be flown 13 different ways. It is NOT able to fly "in 13 different positions." You can position the flagpole into the bracket in order to fly the flag at either 45 degrees or 90 degrees. I'm not sure why you would want a flag that could fly at 13 different angles anyway. If you don't like the little white tag attached to the flag you can choose to cut it off if you wish.

In addition, setup is a breeze. A friend of mine helped and we got it attached to the exterior of my home rather quickly. The bracket at the base of the flag pole can best be attached to the outside of your home by using a drill to quickly get holes for the screws. All that's left to be done is put in the screws and make sure they're solid; then you're ready to fly that flag!

One word of caution, however: Although they claim you can fly this flag in just about any weather, I think you may want to consider flying it outdoors mostly when the weather is good. Eventually the flag will become discolored by the elements. I wouldn't have it flying in a nasty Nor'easter storm or a blizzard! Naturally, this is a personal decision; there's no absolute right or wrong.

Overall, this is one terrific flag and I highly recommend it. Show some American pride and fly your new flag!

Nothing out of the ordinary here; it's not an inexpensive flag and its quality is commensurate with it's price. The only negative is that I wish the hook & eye connector would suspend the flag a bit higher on the pole.
