We've gone through several plastic flag holders that kept breaking, but this aluminum bracket is very sturdy and we haven't had any problems the first few weeks... I'm sure it will be up there for many years to come.

Update: This bracket has now been up for 2 years through multiple wind and thunderstorms and is still holding strong. We are buying a flag pole set for a family member and this is the only bracket I would think of buying.

This is a very nice flag pole bracket. The screws are a bit too short for a secure mounting on wood but that was easily fixed with three deck screws. Two position so you can fly your flag at an upward angle or horizontal.

This bracket is easy to install and has the perfect options for the U.S. flag (45 degrees up) and holiday/special event flags (horizontal). I couldn't be happier and would recommend it to a friend.

Not much to say that already hasn't been written - this is a decent quality aluminum bracket. But don't even try to use the screws that come with it. Invest a couple of bucks in some decent screws - the ones provided will strip right away.

This is an overpriced piece of cast metal. With shipping, I paid over 14 dollars
for a product I had to improve. It needed deburing of sharp edges and an insert
to hold the 1" flag pole securely. Regardless of the thumb screw on the side. The
opening should have been designed with closer tolerance for the 1" pole it is
advertised for. Moderate wind would wrench your flag pole if used as is.

Good product and good customer service, however the mounting screws are wrapped in a small plastic pouch and stuffed inside of the small hollow space. This flag holder is very strong. In the past, I have used some of the adjustable flag holders (ie, the ones whose angle you can adjust by loosening a knob and rotating the pole sleeve to the angle desired). While these adjustable holders seem functional, the adjust feature creates weak joints. Thus, in heavy winds, storms or simply after enough time and/or exposure to the weather, those joints break easily! I went through 3 of the adjustable flag holders in under 2 years before I gave up and found this much better design!

This Valley Forge 2-position flag holder does not have any moving parts. Although you give up some flexibility in terms of what angles at which you can display your flag, you greatly make up for that in DURABILITY!! The welds on this holder are VERY strong. I can't imagine any situation (except for maybe tornado-strength winds) where this flag holder would have any chance of breaking!

It's also very attractive....basic white! It installs easily!

In summary, it works great, is built to LAST and looks great!

I have used various mounting brackets before, but this is a well built, nice looking bracket that does the job very well. My flag has survived various high wind conditions without a problem.

Bracket finish is excellent. I have a lot of wind at my house and broken multiple plastic brackets. This one hasn't broken through numerous thunderstorms. We will see what spring brings. I would have given 5 stars for a fourth hole for a mounting screw.

This bracket arrived well painted looking pleasing to the eye. Only negative was a weak screw which lost its head with tightening.
